The Quality Association Announced That Pu Silk Has The Standard Of "Made In Zhejiang"

Recently, the provincial quality association released the second batch of "Made in Zhejiang" standard release list in 2024, of which the Pu silk standard formulated by Tongxiang Wanjintang Silk Textile Co., Ltd. was on the list.

Entering the production workshop of Tongxiang Wanjintang Silk Textile Co., Ltd., 30 traditional Pu silk jacquard iron and wood looms are working in order. With the sound of "bang bang bang bang bang" operation, exquisite jacquard fabrics are gradually forming, which seems to tell the immortal charm of traditional technology.

"Our Pu silk products are divided into four categories: clothing, accessories, home furnishing, and cultural creativity, with an annual sales of about 3 million yuan." Feng Jiyan, chairman of Wanjintang Silk, introduced that, as the inheritor of Pu silk intangible heritage projects, he has been committed to the inheritance of Pu silk culture and the development of Pu silk industry for many years.

The long canal nurtures many splendid cultures. As one of the four famous silk fabrics in the south of the Yangtze River, Pu Silk is a typical representative. For a hundred years, Pu silk has been loved by consumers for its tough and wear-resistant properties and fine and soft texture. Today, it is also through the innovative activities held by Wanjin Hall Silk, such as Pu Silk's Chinese fashion show "Green Vale", the drama "Haw Haw", which fully demonstrates the unique charm of traditional culture in the new era.

"Made in Zhejiang" is the "benchmark" and "leader" of Zhejiang manufacturing industry, and is the "synonym" of high quality and high level. In 2023, Wan Jintang, as the main drafting unit, completed the group standard Pu Silk issued by the Engineering Society of Zhejiang Textile Association. On this basis, the company further formulated more refined "Made in Zhejiang" standards in 24 aspects, such as density deviation rate, breaking strength, wear resistance, etc.

"The formulation of standards is conducive to the marketization and industrialization of Pu silk, thus promoting the inheritance and development of traditional skills." Feng Jiyan said that the company will then use the "intangible cultural heritage+industrial production+tourism" model to integrate Pu silk culture into modern life, and promote the high-quality development of Pu silk culture.

In recent years, our city has taken the "Made in Zhejiang" standard formulation as the starting point, and through deepening the enterprise standardization work, we have achieved two "horse drawn carriages" running side by side with high-quality product research and development and regional culture dissemination, and constantly improved the high-end product research and development, product design specialization, product manufacturing refinement and product brand innovation. Up to now, 40 enterprises in our city have issued 71.5 "Made in Zhejiang" standards.
