Amber Education Gets $103 Million VCS

Actis, a well-known Private Equity Investment Firm focusing on emerging markets, has announced that its leading investor alliance has injected $103 million into amber education group.

The alliance of investors is made up of three companies, of which Actis is the first time to invest in amber, accounting for nearly 50%. The Avenue Capital and Macquarie Group have increased their investments in amber.

This is the third round of investment by Amber education group and the largest single private placement in China's education sector so far.

As a famous educational service provider, the amber group is one of the leading brands in China's rapidly developing educational sector.

The group was founded by Dr. Huang Jin in the Silicon Valley of the United States. Through the cooperation with schools at all levels and the schools run by the group, it provides various educational services to assist the public education system in China.
