"Secret Door" Heavy Boots Hit Bush
According to Xinhua news agency, November, 21, former US White House spokesman Scott McLean played the role of "mouthpiece" in the "secret service" incident in the United States.
In his upcoming book, Mcclain revealed that President Bush had misled him in the "secret service" incident.
Directed at Bush
Mcclain's new book "what happened in Bush's White House and the mistakes of Washington" will be published in April next year.
In his book, Mcclain recalls the incident of "secret service" that was first launched by the media.
According to his account, in a news conference in 2003, he personally told the media that Karl Rolf, then Bush's political adviser, and Libby, vice president Cheney's office director, were "not involved" in revealing the identity of Prem, a former CIA agent.
"There is a problem here.
I didn't tell the truth.
Mcclain wrote in his new book, "I delivered the wrong message without knowing it.
What I am doing is 5 senior officials in the government: rove, Libby, vice president, chief executive of the White House and the president himself.
Mcclain said he initially claimed to the public that Libby and his "innocence" were due to the fact that the US government did not find weapons of mass destruction as a cause of war after launching the Iraq war. Bush needed his help to regain the credibility of the president.
The "secret service gate" incident has been going through investigation and trial for 4 years.
In July this year, Bush was free from Libby after 30 months in prison,
Criticism
The "secret service" incident seems to be over.
Mcclain's new statement once again aroused criticism from all sides to the Bush administration.
"Just when you think the credibility of the White House can't be worse, another boot will fall again."
Senator Schumer of the Democratic Party said, "if the Bush administration does not tell the truth to its official spokesman, how can the American people expect to know the truth?"
