Wang Wanbing and Xu Xiuhua, who came to Meishan from the pure land village of Longzheng Town, Renshou County, are one of the many shoeshine men.

In February 2005, both husband and wife came to Meishan. In December of that year, they opened their own shoe shop.

Nearly two years of entrepreneurship, what kind of ups and downs have been experienced by two couples?

Relatives lead the way to entrepreneurship

Wang Wanbing, 38 years old and Xu Xiuhua, his 3 year old wife, are all pure land villagers in Longzheng Town, Renshou County.

In order to subsidize his family, Xu Xiuhua worked at a local bristle factory at the age of more than 10. His work was trivial and busy. He only had more than 100 yuan a month, and at most he only had three hundred or four hundred yuan.

Even so, Xu Xiuhua still cherishes the opportunity to work.

However, when the bristle factory was not needed at all times, Xu Xiuhua could only return home.

Shortly after Wang Wanbing's marriage, two people had children, and most of the three families lived in the soil.

In February 2005, there was a turning point in life.

Xu Xiuhua's younger brother opened a shoemaker shop in Meishan, and the staff was not enough. He asked Xu Xiuhua and his wife to go to the store to help them. In this way, two couples came to Meishan.

In the two months of the shoemaker's helper, two husband and wife attentively learn all kinds of shoes and shoes repair techniques.

And the younger brother is also very willing to teach his skills to his elder sister and brother-in-law. He demonstrates himself and explains with his actions. Sometimes he returns to teaching with his hands.

In this way, the skill of the two husband and wife learned quickly, the craft learned, a kind of own entrepreneurial impulse also surged in the heart.

The younger brother also understands the idea of two couples very much, and he also has the experience of running a shop with two people at leisure.

By the end of 2005, it was learned that the owner of a shoeshine shop wanted to pfer the pavement, and two people gathered together to find relatives and acquaintances.

"We should also talk about conscience in business."

Xu Xiuhua told reporters that cleaning shoes is simply a few steps: cleaning agent - dry - Shoe Polish - polished, and not much technical ingredients, the key is to see with no intention, careful and not careful.

"Shoeshine costs only 1 yuan, though there is not much money.

Most of us, like our small shops, are familiar customers. If we don't live at home, it's not easy to smash our signboards.

Xu Xiuhua said as he rubbed a pair of brown shoes he had just sent.

The customer only wanted to wipe the vamp, but after finishing it, Xu Xiuhua found brown shoe polish, carefully rubbed it in some Skinned Areas with the brush, and tried to make the shoes look more beautiful.

Customers can't help looking at it all the time. "It's too careful. It looks so beautiful."

There is not much technology to polish shoes, and shoes are different.

At ordinary times, the division of labor between two husband and wife is also, husband repair shoes, wife wipe shoes.

When reporters interviewed Xu Xiuhua shop, Wang Wanbing was busy living in front of a huge leather shoe trimming machine.

Xu Xiuhua told reporters that this machine was left by the old shopkeeper, which has many functions, including oven, trimming, vacuuming, grinding wheels, sterilization, steam and so on.

However, after all, the machine is a machine, combined with human intelligence and skilled skills, so as to turn rotten into magic and repair a pair of worn shoes.

With the loud squeaky sound of the machine, Wang Wanbing, like a careful craftsman who carves handicrafts, meticulously cuts a piece of wear-resistant sticker that has just been added to the sole of the shoe. The wear-resistant sticker is exactly the same as the shape of the sole, and then the wheel is used to smooth the edges of the shoes.

"I hope I can keep on doing it."

Shoeshine shops, like other small businesses, have low season in peak season.

Xu Xiuhua told reporters that summer is the off-season, because everyone wears sandals, shoeshine fewer people, there are not many people who repair shoes, sometimes even a single day business.

But even so, Xu Xiuhua and his wife insisted on opening the door every day. "Not because the off-season is not open, ah, customers do not open the door one time, you do not open the two time, when you open the door later, people will not come.

Business is still a matter of reputation.

The shoe store has been running for nearly two years. Some old acquaintance and Xu Xiuhua and his wife are very familiar with each other. They often bring their friends and colleagues here to shine their shoes, which is very gratifying for Xu Xiuhua.

"Of course, when you open your door to do business, you will meet some unruly customers. Some customers will also ask for some impossible requests. When you encounter these things, you will feel uncomfortable.

However, after that, there are so many customers who recognize us and take care of our business.

Xu Xiuhua smiled optimistically.

Now, the shoemaker shop opens at 7:30 every morning and closes at 9:30 pm. Sometimes the customers get more. The couple are so busy that they can't even drink water. There is no fixed number for lunch and dinner.

Even if it's so hard and busy, the couple will be very active in their work. "It's harder to work hard here than at home. If you are willing to settle down, you will get more income every day, and your life will be better and better."

My biggest wish now is to be able to keep this shop going on and wait for the future business to become bigger and a few apprentices.
