Lei Feng'S Spirit Of "Long March"

Liu Guangjian pushed his "Lei Feng car" to the village of Jiangxia, Guangfo road Dali. Yesterday, in the South China Sea Dali Jiangxia village mouth, Liu Guangjian is meticulously polishing shoes.

In the past 9 years, Lei Feng, the shoemaker, who taught the shoe polish technology to publicize the spirit of Lei Feng for free in the past years, came to Foshan on the "Lei Feng special bus" yesterday and continued his long march in ninety-sixth cities.

Yesterday afternoon, the reporter met Liu Guangjian at the village of Jiangxia, Dali, Guangfo road.

As soon as he reached the roadside, he saw his red "Lei Feng special car" and two red flags inserted in front of the car. A 18 meter banner hanging on the wall was written on the "learning Lei Feng spirit and carrying forward social ethics". The trumpet beside the shoe brush was playing the song "learning Lei Feng's good example".

A closer look at the reporter said that the original "Lei Feng special car" was pformed by an ordinary pedal tricycle. The back seat of the car was covered with an iron carriage, with a red background on the left side of the "Lei Feng profile".

Liu Guangjian, who is dark and stocky, is sitting on the shoe polishing box, polishing shoes for a man meticulously.

After finishing the shoes for men, Liu Guangjian accepted an interview with reporters.

Liu Guangjian was born in a small mountain village in Pengzhou, Sichuan Province in 1956. He was deeply infected by Lei Feng's spirit. He realized that helping others and helping the poor can help him become a respectable person.

In 1971, Liu Guangjian, who was just 15 years old, was recruited into the army to become a soldier in Lei Feng's army.

He studied Lei Feng everywhere, he joined the party in second years, and he made the first grade and two grades.

In March 7, 1973, the Qigihar daily published a long newsletter of "advancing along Lei Feng's road -- an account of the advanced deeds of Liu Guangjian, a soldier stationed in the army, to learn from Comrade Lei Feng."

The army sent out a call to learn from Liu Guangjian. The PLA General Political Department awarded him the honorable title of "the ten army of the whole army, the Lei Feng pacesetter".

In the spring of 1975, Liu Guangjian was demobilized and returned to the countryside. In July, he was recommended to Chengdu meteorological college.

After graduation, he volunteered to support the construction of Tibet, so he was assigned to work in the agriculture and Animal Husbandry Department of Tibet autonomous region.

When asked why Liu Guangjian decided to quit his stable public office and choose to be a shoemaker, he said that he lost his life's coordinates in his office.

Therefore, he hopes to get rid of this situation and find a suitable post, starting from every little bit like Lei Feng, serving the people.

In 1998, he saw the report of Hu Fuguo, Secretary of the Shanxi provincial Party committee, who went to the streets and shoeshine to encourage laid-off workers to re employment.

He thought that the Secretary of the provincial Party committee had too many official duties. He took the lead in polishing shoes but played a symbolic role. Why did he not serve the masses by rubbing shoes, and since then he embarked on his long march of learning Lei Feng.

In 1999, Liu Guangjian resigned from public office and began the "National Long March" to publicize Lei Feng's spirit of shoeshine.

Liu Guangjian publicize Lei Feng's spirit all the way, and teach the disabled to brush their shoes free of charge. They offer free shoeshine tools and set up Lei Feng shoe polishing class.

In the past 9 years, Liu Guangjian has gone through 22 provinces and 96 cities.

At first, Liu Guangjian had a dilapidated van as a means of pportation. When he arrived in Jinhua, Zhejiang in May last year, his van was scrapped. He could only continue his long march on a modified tricycle.

Liu Guangjian himself can get a bit of income for shoeshine every day, but the disabled and the elderly are free. There is no charge for shoeshine every March 5th and disabled days.

Liu Guangjian had a wife and a 27 year old daughter in Chengdu. At the beginning, the family objected, but later there was no opinion.

Now, my daughter has graduated from university and works in a hospital in Chengdu.

Liu Guangjian doesn't have a cell phone. He calls home every week through a public phone, while his family knows his whereabouts through the Internet. In the past 9 years, he has only been home 7 times.

"These 9 years are really hard, but I am happy."

Liu Guangjian said, "because I have done my duty and realized my value, I have aroused the attention of the society to ideology and morality, so that people do not forget Lei Feng."

Liu Guangjian said, he picked up his collected information that he had accumulated over the years.

So far, Liu Guangjian has set up 59 Lei Feng shoe polishing classes, teaching 404 disabled and laid-off workers shoes polishing technology.

Liu Guangjian also had some unhappy things, some people did not understand his behavior, or he was "neurotic", or he was a show show, a liar and a fish for fame.

At the end of the interview, Liu Guangjian said there were two wishes. One was to end his "Long March" in 2013, the other was to run a youth education center, to display the deeds of noble Chinese and foreign people, and to encourage their younger generation with their spiritual education.

He told reporters that he would stay in Foshan for a few days, and the next stop will be in Jiangmen.

The crowd in the crowd felt "admiration" for Liu Guangjian.
