Exhibition review:
Since the first exhibition of Shanghai International Leather Exhibition in 2004, the exhibition area has been expanding, exhibitors and booths have increased year by year, and the degree of internationalization has deepened gradually. Now it has become one of the more famous events in the Yangtze River Delta region and even in the whole industry. The exhibition is committed to promoting the import and export trade of leather products, focusing on export as well as the domestic market.
The last exhibition was successfully held in Shanghai World Trade Center on May 2007 23--25, covering an area of more than 12000 square meters. It displays nearly 1000 kinds of fur, leather, clothing and so on. It has gathered more than 480 famous enterprises from Korea, Italy, France, Japan, the United States, the United Kingdom, Hongkong, Taiwan and other countries, and has 572 booths. According to statistics, there are more than 28 thousand professional spectators, with a turnover of 600 million yuan. Among them, the overseas professional audience accounted for 21%, the East China audience accounted for 68%, and the other provinces and autonomous regions accounted for 11%. Most of the spectators came from leather, footwear, fur and other enterprises, and accounted for 65% of the actual buyers, accounting for 35% of the trade, dealers and others. The exhibition is a grand gathering of the leather industry in China.
