Survey Of Import And Export Of Textiles And Garments In April
According to customs statistics, in April 2008, the import and export volume of textiles and clothing was 16 billion 10 million US dollars, up 10% over the same period last year.
Of which, exports of US $14 billion 290 million, an increase of 11.3%, and imports of US $1 billion 730 million, an increase of 0.2%.
The surplus reached $12 billion 560 million, an increase of 13.1%.
In 1~4 months, the import and export volume of textiles and garments was 57 billion 540 million US dollars, an increase of 15.3%.
Of which, exports of US $51 billion 740 million, an increase of 17.1%, and imports of US $5 billion 800 million, an increase of 1.3%.
The surplus reached $45 billion 940 million, an increase of 19.4%.
Exports returned to normal growth interval. In April, China's textile and clothing exports amounted to 14 billion 290 million US dollars, and the monthly export growth rate dropped 37 percentage points over March, rising by only 11.3%, returning to the normal growth range.
In 1~4 months, the total export volume was 51 billion 740 million US dollars, an increase of 17.1%.
After a surge in export growth in the first quarter, the first month of the two quarter showed signs of steady growth in exports.
Imports of US $1 billion 730 million in the same month, an increase of 0.2%, once again recovered to a slight growth, and the total import growth rate dropped to 1.3%.
As export growth slowed last month, the monthly surplus remained above $10 billion, but the growth rate has dropped to 13.1%.
The proportion of the total amount of trade in the total volume of goods trade in the country is 7.3%, and the difference is 79.2% of the total surplus trade surplus of the whole country, and the proportion of the surplus has continued to fall.
The overall growth of exports to Europe in April of that month, China's textile and apparel exports to the EU 2 billion 530 million US dollars, an increase of 45.7%, the growth rate is still strong.
1~4 cumulative exports to the EU amounted to $10 billion 650 million, an increase of 41%, of which the growth of 45% for the original 15 countries and 1.1% for the 12 countries in the eastward expansion was the first increase since the last March.
In April, China exported $1 billion 750 million to us textiles and clothing, an increase of 1.9%. In 1~4 months, exports to the United States totaled 6 billion 690 million US dollars, and continued to grow, with an increase of 1.3%.
Exports to other major markets such as Japan, Russia and South Korea continued to grow.
Among them, Japan surpassed the United States in March and became the second largest export market after the European Union only after the European Union. Its cumulative export volume also surpassed that of the United States.
Exports to Southeast Asia countries such as Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia and India and Bangladesh have increased rapidly, and their growth has exceeded the average level.
Export growth to Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan remained strong, with a cumulative increase of 146% and 220% respectively.
Since the main import market, China's imports in Taiwan have dropped by 3.2%, from Japan's imports by 4.1%, and from Korea and the Hongkong special economic zone of China by 7.8% and 11% respectively.
Imports from the European Union and the United States increased by 33.1% and 13.6% respectively.
The growth rate of small border trade has not been reduced by 1~4 months. China's textile and clothing trade has totaled 35 billion 760 million US dollars, accounting for 69% of the total export volume.
Processing trade exports US $12 billion 210 million, accounting for 23.6% of total exports.
General trade mode exports increased by 15%, and the contribution rate to the overall export growth reached 61.7%.
The processing trade increased by 8.5%, of which the processing of raw materials increased by 9.7%, and the processing of raw materials increased by 5.7%.
In the new batch of processing trade restriction catalogues, the export of textile yarn and fabric products totaled 3 billion 380 million US dollars, an increase of 6.5%, of which the export growth in March was 4%.
The export growth rate of small frontier trade continued to accelerate, with an increase of 163%, mainly for exports from Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia.
General trade imports of US $1 billion 120 million, an increase of 27.8%, faster than exports.
Processing trade imports 4 billion 450 million US dollars, down 4.6%.
Textile exports continued to grow by 1~4 months. China's clothing exports totaled 31 billion 510 million US dollars, an increase of 11.7%, of which 4.1% increased in April, and the growth rate dropped sharply compared with March.
Textile exports amounted to 20 billion 230 million US dollars, an increase of 26.7%, of which 23.3% increased in April.
Textile exports grew faster than clothing by 15 percentage points.
The market for yarn and fabric exports grew more rapidly in Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia and Bangladesh.
Clothing exports of chemical fiber clothing increased by 20.4%, the fastest growing.
Exports of cotton garments increased by 7.1%, gross garments increased by 8.6%, and silk garments dropped by 7.8%.
In textile products, exports of all kinds of commodities increased by more than 20%, of which the fastest growth of manufactured exports, the increase of 30.8%, the growth rate of industrial textiles exceeded 50%, and its proportion in all textile and clothing exports increased from 1.7% at the end of last year to 2.3%.
The export of yarn and fabric increased by 27.5% and 23.2% respectively.
The unit price of clothing has not resumed growth, which has increased 4.3% to 9 billion 500 million pieces (sets) of global export garments (including woven and knitted).
The average export price was 2.94 US dollars / piece (set), an increase of 6.4%, and the rate of unit price increase slightly slowed down.
The volume of exports to the EU increased and the number of exports increased by 53%, while the average export price was $3.33 / piece (set), down 3.4%.
Exports to the United States, clothing prices, prices fell, the number of exports decreased by 4.5%, the average export price of 3.92 U.S. dollars / piece (set), down 1.5%.
The unit price of the global export yarn has increased by 2.9%, and the unit price of most of the fabrics has also maintained growth.
The export growth of the main camp dropped in April, and the export of Guangdong province decreased again in the top five export provinces and cities.
Exports from Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Shanghai and Shandong continued to grow, but the growth rate was significantly lower than in March.
In 1~4 months, Zhejiang's exports increased by 25.4%, while Guangdong's exports dropped by 7.8%, of which Shenzhen's exports dropped by 36.3%, and the decline was further enlarged.
The cumulative export volume of Xinjiang has exceeded Fujian, ranking sixth in the country, and its export growth is still above 200%.
Export growth in Guangxi and Heilongjiang reached 300% and 93% respectively.
