In October 24, 2006, the European Parliament formally passed a resolution stipulates that the content of perfluorooctane sulfonyl compounds (PFOS) in the finished products of the EU market should not exceed 0.005% of the quality. The implementation of the PFOS directive will undoubtedly add to the burden.

There is no test standard in China.

Last year when the directive was just put forward, the Wenzhou clothing chamber of Commerce Foreign Trade Branch organized several member enterprises to discuss the countermeasures.

As a result, it is found that it is almost impossible to accomplish at present: the domestic related testing department has no testing standard, and the substitute product is difficult to find, and it will greatly increase the cost.

"Nevertheless, when the products are abroad, once they are found to be unqualified, they will be detained, which will bring more losses to the enterprises."

The head of the textile and light administration of Wenzhou entry exit inspection and Quarantine Bureau said that powerful textile enterprises could speed up the upgrading and pformation of PFOS's replacement products and production technology, and improve the environmental protection requirements of products.

Small and medium-sized enterprises should choose suppliers rationally, and make textile printing and dyeing enterprises that meet the environmental protection requirements as long-term suppliers.

At the same time, it is necessary to communicate with European importers as soon as possible and intensify the selection, testing and application of alternative products, so as to reduce the losses caused by the implementation of instructions.

The relevant departments should intensify the collection of technical standards, organize the research and response of the strength, and strengthen the research of detection methods.
