Armani Group Sells Well In China Market
Armani group has 5000 direct employees and 13 processing bases worldwide.
The fashion and lifestyle products that are designed, manufactured, distributed and retailing include clothing, accessories, glasses and cosmetics, and its brand series Giorgio Armani, Armani Collezioni, Emporio Armani and Armani Jeans.
At present, there are more than 450 direct selling outlets in the exclusive agency retail network of the group, including 73 Giorgio Armani stores and 140 Emporio Arman stores in 46 countries.
Because the luxury industry is relatively less affected by the current economic downturn, and its brand is booming in the Chinese market, the company's recent report shows that the pre tax profit in 2007 has increased by 17% to 289 million euros. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization amounted to 355 million euros, and consolidated income increased by 8% to 1 billion 600 million euros.
In terms of market development, the group currently plans to open 50 direct selling stores in 2008, and announced recently that it will establish a joint venture with DLF, the largest real estate company in India, to sell branded products, thereby expanding the growing India luxury retail market.
