Ministry Of Commerce: Timely Introduction Of Policies To Support Traditional Export Industries

Gao Hucheng, Vice Minister of Commerce, said that the appreciation of the renminbi, the cost of remuneration and the rising price of raw materials, the traditional export industries, including the textile and footwear industry, were facing difficulties. The Ministry of Commerce launched the support policy in due course.

Gao Hucheng pointed out that although the mainland's exports showed signs of slowing down, the growth rate of imports accelerated in the first half of the year, but it was optimistic about the situation in the second half of the year. The number of imports and exports is expected to maintain steady growth and the trade surplus will continue to improve.
