    Three. Vietnam's textile and apparel industry:


    Vietnam's textile and clothing exports have been remarkably successful in the past few years.

    Total exports increased by 1 billion US dollars over 2003.

    After joining the WTO, Vietnam is committed to becoming the world's leading exporter of textiles and clothing.

    Faced with the opportunities and challenges, the Vietnamese government has adopted a number of new development policies, such as billions of dollars to be invested each year to achieve "economic industrialization and modernization".

    At the same time, private enterprises are also trying to modernize the production facilities by investing more capital. Vietnam needs to invest more than US $3 billion a year in huge sums of money to buy advanced equipment and technology.


    In addition, in order to solve the problem of raw materials and accessories in Vietnam's textile and garment industry, Vietnam textile and Garment Group has begun to build a textile and garment raw materials management center in Hu Zhiming city. The center covers an area of 5 hectares, with a total investment of US $25 million. It will set up offices, seminars and exhibition areas, excipients, shops, bonded areas, domestic brand areas, service areas, entertainment areas and catering areas, and will provide on-site banking and customs services.

    The centre will be integrated into more than 500 domestic and foreign suppliers to become the leading textile and garment industry franchise in Vietnam.

    The Vietnam textile and garment industry exhibition has been successfully held for the six time, and has won acclaim. It has firmly established the position of the first major textile professional exhibition in Vietnam. The exhibition has become the most ideal platform for manufacturers, distributors and agents to display the latest equipment and technology.


    VITGS2006 has 400 companies from Vietnam, Taiwan, China, Germany, Thailand, Japan, the United Kingdom, Indonesia, Malaysia, Turkey, Korea, Singapore and other countries and regions to participate in the exhibition, and 16970 people from all over the world including distributors, buyers, producers, marketers, technicians, journalists, government departments and other personnel.

    According to statistics, 69% of the respondents indicated that the exhibition reached the expected goal, 12% reflected the expected goal, 10% failed to achieve the goal, and 9% expressed other views.
