Wenzhou'S Leather Shoes Exports To The EU Dropped By 5.03% In August

According to Wenzhou customs, August was the second month of the implementation of the export tax rebate policy, and the total import and export volume of Wenzhou reached 1 billion 194 million US dollars, up 17.6% from the same period last year (hereinafter referred to as the growth rate).

Compared with the first month of the implementation of the export tax rebate policy, foreign trade exports increased by 44.5% in July.

In August, the growth rate of Wenzhou's foreign trade declined significantly.

Wenzhou exports mainly to the developed countries such as the European Union and the United States.

In August 2007, Wenzhou's commodity exports to 167 countries and regions, the European Union, the United States, Russia and ASEAN ranked the top four in Wenzhou's export market.

In August, exports to the European Union amounted to 275 million US dollars, an increase of 14.1%; exports to the United States amounted to US $90 million 720 thousand, an increase of 10.22%; exports to Russia amounted to US $67 million 550 thousand, an increase of 16.95%; exports to ASEAN were US $50 million 780 thousand, an increase of 21.68%.

The export growth of processing trade slowed down, an increase of 0.25%, an increase of much behind that of the same period last year. The export of state-owned enterprises dropped by 6.48%. For specific industries, leather shoes exported to the European Union decreased by 5.03% when the EU imposed anti-dumping duties on some leather shoes in China. The export of clothing and accessories was 124 million dollars, down 15.9%; lighter exports decreased by 11.48% compared to the same period last year.

In the first two months of this year, the export of lighters in Wenzhou has increased, and it has been declining for six consecutive months. It is evident that the adverse effects of the CR rule have emerged.

However, traditional export commodities still have the advantage, the export of mechanical and electrical products has increased rapidly, and the export of mechanical and electrical products has increased by 381 million US dollars, an increase of 29.7%.

At the same time, Wenzhou imports goods from 79 countries and regions.

Asia has always been the most important source of imports for Wenzhou, but imports from Asia decreased by 7.33% in August.
