Shoe Enterprises: Should Seize The Business Opportunities Of The Shoe Market In The United States
The US market, which has been neglected by the leather shoes industry in Chongqing, is promising.
A few days ago, Sun Hua, a member of the Chongqing footwear market research team and director of the shoe Office of the United States, said that the inspection report had been released in the US for a 13 day inspection.
According to the survey report, the annual consumption of shoe products in the United States is over 2 billion pairs. The current US footwear products market 95% relies on imports. Shoes imported from China account for 64.5% of the total imports of footwear products. However, the proportion of leather shoes in Chongqing is less than 5%, and all of them are re exported through foreign companies.
According to statistics from the footwear industry association of Chongqing, the export volume of leather shoes in the city last year was 2 million pairs, with an export volume of nearly US $30 million. The main export countries were Russia, Central Europe, Mexico, Spain and the United Kingdom and other countries and regions.
If Chongqing's leather shoes can enter the United States, the price of leather shoes less than 100 yuan in the market is at least more than 30 dollars in the supermarkets in the United States. After deducting the tariff factors, the price difference is still over 100%.
Compared with other major domestic shoemaking bases, Chongqing leather shoes have obvious comparative advantages of labor cost and management cost; even if compared with Chengdu, which belongs to the western region, the labor cost and management cost of each pair of leather shoes should be about 10 yuan.
