Recently, the Ministry of finance was informed that in order to help solve the problem of high cost of pferring cotton from Xinjiang to the mainland, the central government decided to grant appropriate subsidies to Xinjiang cotton, which is exported to the mainland.

Coupled with the decision made by the Ministry of Railways to increase the daily output of cotton from July 10th to the end of August, the slow-release pressure of Xinjiang cotton will be eased in the recent period.

It is reported that all cotton purchasing processing enterprises, cotton operation enterprises and textile enterprises with the ownership of the cotton producing enterprises can enjoy financial subsidies.

In accordance with the national standard, the amount of cotton produced by the central government is 400 yuan per ton, regardless of grade and length.

The subsidy for the cost of moving out of the cotton warehouse was calculated according to the cotton production year (from September 1st to August 31st of next year). The term of subsidy is tentatively scheduled for the period from 2007 to 2010.

In order to strengthen the management of the financial subsidy funds for the cost of moving out of the cotton, the Ministry of finance will issue specific management measures in the near future.

To properly solve the problem of unsalable cotton in Xinjiang, the Ministry of Railways decided in July 1st that from July 10th to the end of August, the Urumqi Railway Administration will ensure that 270 wagon cotton per day is sent from Xinjiang to the mainland.

According to this calculation, 11 thousand tons of cotton will enter the mainland market every day, and the total output of Xinjiang cotton will reach 600 thousand tons in this period, of which 80 thousand tons will be the national cotton reserves of the previous year.

Before that, the railway department arranged for Xinjiang to pport 120 tons of cotton per day and 5000 tons per day.

In addition, some cotton enterprises in Xinjiang also actively link up with the national cotton trading market, trying to sell cotton through various marketing channels, such as cotton online supermarkets and other spot markets.

It is believed that the implementation of the subsidy policy for Sinop cotton and the active cooperation of the railway departments are expected to speed up the progress of cotton distribution in Xinjiang, alleviate the unsalable pressure of Xinjiang cotton and create conditions for the promotion of Xinjiang cotton.

In the future, the three party competition between Xinjiang cotton and real estate cotton and imported cotton will further intensify, and the choice of raw material procurement will be greater.
