China Cotton Textile Industry Boom Analysis: Support Policy Is About To Come Out.

With the increase of economic uncertainties at home and abroad and the gradual emergence of macroeconomic regulation and control, the situation of cotton textile industry has become more serious in the first half of 2008.

How to view the current situation and how to deal with the challenges faced by the industry?

On July 4~5, the 2008 China Cotton Textile Forum and the cotton textile industry boom analysis conference sponsored by the China Cotton Textile Industry Association held in Suzhou, Jiangsu. Nearly 300 people from all over the country were represented at the meeting.

The conference analyzed the current situation of the textile industry and discussed the way to solve the problem.

The conference held that since the beginning of this year, the cotton textile industry has overcome the difficulties brought about by various unfavorable factors at home and abroad. The economic benefits of the whole industry have maintained steady growth, and the development of the industry is generally healthy and stable.

However, due to the substantial increase in the cost of means of production, the rapid rise in labor costs, the appreciation of the renminbi and the reduction of export tax rebates, the slip tax on cotton imports, the high deduction of cotton purchase and processing value-added tax, and the "two machine" import tax exemption and other factors, most enterprises are facing difficulties that have not been encountered before, and the industrial situation is more severe.

The meeting pointed out that the current difficulties are both pressures and opportunities.

Despite all the difficulties, the 1/3 competitiveness of enterprises in the whole industry continues to improve, and the rest of 2/3 enterprises are actively seeking ways to overcome difficulties.

The meeting stressed that the difficulties of the textile industry have been highly valued by the state, and the corresponding supporting policies will soon be introduced. But to maintain the sustainable development of the industry, the key is to rely on their own efforts.

The conference called on the whole industry to establish confidence, earnestly implement Scientific Outlook on Development, vigorously improve the contribution rate of science and technology and brand, promote independent innovation and technological progress, strive to optimize the structure, change the way of development, and take the road of economical development, and strive to minimize the pressure and impact.
