International Iron And Steel Association: Global Steel Output Increased By 5.7% In The First Half Of 2008.

The international iron and Steel Association claimed that the world steel output increased by 5.7% in the first half of 08 years, of which China, the European Union, the United States and Russia increased by 9.6%, 0.1%, 4.7% and 3% respectively.

Comprehensive external power July 18th reported that international iron and Steel Institute, 18, claimed that the world crude steel output increased 5.7% in the first half of 08 years compared with the same period in 07 years.

The international iron and Steel Association claimed that crude steel output in 66 countries reported to the Association reached 696 million 100 thousand tonnes in the first half, compared with 658 million 200 thousand tonnes in the same period in 07 years.

The association claims that China's largest steel producer in the world has increased crude steel output by 9.6% to 2.632 million tons in the first half of 08 years.

The international iron and Steel Association claims that the mobile annual growth rate of China's output in the past 12 months has dropped to 10.2%, which is far below the 26.3% growth rate in January 06.

The association said that the steel production in the first half of the EU increased by 0.1% to 1.0847 billion tons, and the US steel output increased by 4.7% to 50 million 760 thousand tons, and Russia's steel output increased by 3% to 37 million 720 thousand tons.
