The Growth Of Some Textile Products Exported To Europe In The Past 08 Years

    2009/3/25 0:00:00 15

According to EU statistics, the total export volume of China's original 10 categories of restricted textiles in 2008 to Europe increased by 57% over the previous year, and the total value increased by 42%.

The top three growth rates were fifth categories (pullovers), twenty-sixth categories (dresses) and thirty-ninth categories (tablecloths), with an increase of 164%, 113% and 91% respectively. The value increase was 109%, 82% and 35% respectively.

It is worth noting that although the quantity and value of all kinds of restricted products have increased rapidly, the average price decline is 9.2%, of which the twenty-sixth largest decline is 32%.

Among the 10 types of textiles other than restricted textiles, the number of animals increased greatly, including animal combed wool, jute yarn and combed cotton, reaching 200%, 146% and 114% respectively.

    Editor's note:

In 2009, China's textile and clothing exports dropped considerably. In 1~2 months, textile and garment exports amounted to US $21 billion 900 million.

Its exports of textiles and garments in February were 6 billion 670 million US dollars, down 43.8%, down 35.2% from the same period last year.

Despite the decline in exports, according to the data released by the US International Trade Commission, imports of textiles and garments from China increased by 18.2% in January 2009, a change in the trend since September 2008.

As China's exports to Europe and the United States are mostly just demand products and high cost performance, it is expected that although the overall export decline, but in the European and American market share will not be reduced.

Under the premise of the rise of trade protectionism, the trend of export growth relative to other countries is likely to be caused by trade friction.
