In order to enable our people to use electricity and enjoy a modern life, in 2006, the national Power Grid Corp established and implemented the rural power development strategy of "new countryside, new power and new services", and actively promoted the rural household electricity construction project in all provinces and autonomous regions within the scope of the national Power Grid Corp power supply.

In order to solve the problem of electricity consumption of farmers and herdsmen in Tibet's agricultural and pastoral areas as soon as possible, in July 25, 2007, the people's Government of the Tibet autonomous region and the national Power Grid Corp signed a summary of the talks on jointly promoting the construction of rural household electricity in Tibet Autonomous Region.

The implementation of the "household electricity" project has fundamentally improved the production and living conditions in the electrified area. It has played an important role in promoting the economic development of these areas and raising the living standards of farmers and herdsmen. It is of great significance to promote the rapid dissemination of information on the party's policies and wealth in remote areas, to update farmers' minds, cultivate new socialist farmers, strengthen the construction of two civilizations in the electrified area, and narrow the gap between urban and rural areas.
