Four Shoe Companies In Quanzhou Participate In International Standards To Achieve Zero Breakthrough

　　 Recently, four shoe manufacturers in Jinjiang participated in six international standards setting, which was learned by reporters from the "China Sports Products Standardization Forum" held in 2010. Qi Xiaoxia, secretary-general of the national shoe technology standardization committee, said at the forum that this is a major step forward for domestic enterprises to integrate standards with the international market and avoid trade barriers.

It is understood that the forum is a supporting event of the Quanzhou commodity fair and the twelfth China (Jinjiang) footwear Expo.

According to the briefing, at present, the footwear trade in our city is mainly based on product standards, supplemented by basic standards, testing methods, safety and hygiene standards. This standard system is quite different from the foreign industry standard system. The trade barrier caused by it has caused great losses to export enterprises, and the vast majority of trade barriers for footwear come from the EU area.

"The domestic standard 53% is the product standard, while the ISO standard has no product standard, and the 100% is the method standard and the technical standard." At the same time, Qi Xiaoxia said, "the standard drafting work of footwear industry has been transformed from the original emphasis on physical performance to safety and health performance. At present, domestic enterprises do not attach enough importance to this aspect."

"What is most gratifying is that recently, four companies in Jinjiang, including Anta, XTEP, global and Jordan, participated in the drafting of 6 international standards. This is a breakthrough in domestic participation in international standards." Qi Xiaoxia revealed that China is stepping up its efforts to strengthen international standardization and has participated in the meetings of the two committees of ISO/7C216 and ISO/7C137, becoming the only non EU participants in the two meetings.

"The whole shoe industry has not perfected the international standard tracking system, and has a slow grasp of the core trend of international standards. Enterprises can not respond to changes in international standards in a timely manner and make strategic adjustments so that shoemaking enterprises are relatively passive when encountering foreign technical barriers to trade." Zhang Tao, vice president of Anta company, told reporters that in April this year, the company has decided to serve as a member of the International Working Group on international standards and work with the working group to carry out research on antibacterial performance standards.

　　 "When implementing product standards, enterprises should give priority to national standards, followed by industry standards and local standards." According to the experience of drafting the international standards, vice president Zhang suggested that when the national standard or the industry standard met the normal quality requirements of consumers, the enterprises should work out enterprise standards or internal control standards that are strict with national standards and industry standards according to the applicable products, so as to ensure the quality of products and formulate product standards that meet market demand, fit for product positioning and satisfy customers.
