The Reality Of Korean Garment Industry Is Approaching The Whole Industry.

    2010/5/19 9:44:00 18

    Clothing

Entering the twenty-first Century, the globalization requirement of Korean clothing industry has not only stayed on the outlook level, but actually approached the whole industry with realistic demands.

But even under such circumstances, there is no obvious change in the industry. This is an undeniable fact now.

Under such circumstances, the textile and garment industries have to face the same problem: it is hard to expect more future by relying solely on domestic demand.

In order to solve this problem, no matter what method it is used, it seems necessary to rely on overseas demand.

The government functional departments and associations are performing their own support functions, persistently supporting enterprises to participate in overseas exhibitions for a long time, creating opportunities for designers and brands to enter overseas markets.

But the clothing department does not buy it. They generally believe that the government does not have enough understanding of the clothing industry. The reality is that some of the design work in China is not enough, let alone go to the foreign market.

The result of this is that the expected input-output comparison effect can not be achieved.

Some clothing companies who are preparing to attend overseas exhibitions agree that the cost of exhibitors is not a small expense, but because of the government's support level and other reasons, enterprises have to give up many other choices, but this is more inefficient.

This also explains why a lot of enterprises do not intend to apply for assistance to the government at all.

Because of the cognitive differences between the government and the enterprises, the central point of the clear objectives and supporting objectives that focus on globalization is missing. Therefore, sustained support from the government is regarded as a waste of budgets, and the efforts of enterprises can only stay at the level of self-reliance.

Therefore, enterprise criticism says that this is in a dilemma at a low tide.

On the occasion of the 1000 issue of the Korean textile economic news bulletin, we have reviewed many events in the Korean clothing industry over the past 21 years. It is precisely because of the past process that the root cause that hinders development is the deep-rooted lack of understanding and mutual distrust between the government and enterprises, the textile industry and the clothing industry.

In the past 21 years, the Korean clothing industry has gone through two major difficulties, one is the Asian financial crisis of 1997, and the other is the world financial crisis in 2008.

Through the 1988 Olympic Games and the 2002 World Cup, globalization was also tried and faced with opportunities to become a member of a globalized country.

The financial crisis left a huge scar on the garment industry. Even the Seoul Olympic Games and the world cup in Japan and South Korea failed to evoke the rigid demands of special needs, which also frustrated the prospect of globalization.

In 2002, when the world cup in Japan and South Korea just passed, an operator at that time said that the special requirements of the world cup could not be judged simply, but such specific and substantial changes such as the rise in sales did not exist.

Often the greater the expectation, the greater the disappointment.

A speech made the listener free for a long time.

Coincidentally, 1988 Seoul Olympic Games also appeared the same reaction.

At that time, public opinion accused this business of losing money, and South Korea had no experience in running international competitions.

But when the time comes to this point in 2009, looking back at the past is by no means a conclusion.

Although the dark clouds of financial crisis have not yet dispersed, but with the virtual image of the clothing industry being receding, the self-reliance of the industry has been steadily strengthened, and the new atmosphere that is completely different from before has been formed.

Although no one can foresee, sometimes it is not worth overlooking that it is necessary to establish a preventive plan for what is going to happen by forecasting.
