The textile industry in India needs to export $2 billion 500 million in 2010. For exporters of India's textile industry, it can only be achieved through the search for high value-added fabrics and accessories, because the price of cotton in India is 20% higher than that in the international market.

In the 08 year's Government summary, India textile Ministry officials also indicated that India's clothing exports could decline by 24% in the current fiscal year, down from the original planned US $11 billion 620 million to US $8 billion 780 million.
