Quanzhou Shoe Enterprises Expand Taiwan Market
Quanzhou inspection and Quarantine Bureau was informed that: Recently, XTEP (China) Co., Ltd. officially opened in the downtown area of Wanhua District, Taipei. This indicates that the first independent sports brand store in Taipei settled in Quanzhou, which has taken an important step for Quanzhou enterprises to expand the Taiwan market.
It is reported that before inspection by Quanzhou inspection and Quarantine Bureau, XTEP has shipped 294 cases of casual shoes and clothing in two batches to Taipei, with a total value of $63 thousand and 200, including 84 cases of casual shoes, 10 thousand and 800 dollars, T-shirts and trousers 210 cases, and 52 thousand and 400 dollars. The Quanzhou inspection and Quarantine Bureau intervened in advance, provided the relevant inspection and quarantine requirements to the enterprises in a timely manner, and made full use of various ways such as classified management, green channel and electronic supervision to facilitate the rapid inspection and release of enterprise products.
According to the statistics of Quanzhou inspection and Quarantine Bureau, in 2009, the Bureau inspected the products exported to Taiwan for 592 batches and 14 million 533 thousand dollars worth of goods. The main export products were shoes, sanitary napkins, ceramics, furniture, fans, etc., with huge export potential and unlimited business opportunities.
With the warmer cross-strait economic and trade exchanges and the deepening of the construction of the Economic Zone on the west side of the Straits, the pace of Quanzhou enterprises to set up shop actively is accelerating. Following the opening of XTEP stores in Taiwan, Dehua ceramic industry has set up Dehua boutique white porcelain sales outlets in Taipei, Taichung, Tainan and Kaohsiung respectively, and has launched marketing; Anta, PEAK, lolong, dragon clothing, nine herdwang and other shoe and clothing enterprises are actively planning to set up offices in Taiwan; Anxi tea enterprises such as Anxi and eight Tieguanyin groups have begun to study the Taiwan market and plan to open terminal stores in Taiwan.
