Market Overview: [Vietnam cloth and ingredients market has great potential]
As Vietnam formally became a member of the World Trade Organization WTO in January 1, 2007, Vietnam's target will become the world's top 10 garment exporters in the future. The government will continue to vigorously develop textile and garment industry and related industries.
In Vietnam, as foreign or wholly owned garment enterprises can only temporarily supply the 20-30% of domestic high-grade cotton fabric, Vietnam garment industry is committed to increasing exports to the United States, Europe, Japan and other places, and the local demand for cloth quality is high. Therefore, domestic garment manufacturers are eager to explore and develop a large number of imported cotton materials market.
Because the price of imported cloth is reasonable and quality is good, Vietnamese producers can import fabrics temporarily for export after production. (the government will refund the import tax).
Imported fabrics, especially high count cotton, are very popular with exporters.
At present, the average number of fabrics in Vietnam is 40-50, but better cloth or yarn will be imported.
Although the producers can import better yarn to produce their own products, Vietnam's domestic cloth is generally 20% more expensive than the imported fabric made by the exporters of garments, and the import duty of the yarn is 20%.
It can be seen that this is a very good business opportunity for the production of knitting machinery and cotton materials manufacturers.
China is the largest supplier of Vietnam. Now China imports large quantities of cloth products to Vietnam, and cloth has become the fourth Chinese export Vietnamese product.
The textile and garment industry in the lower reaches of Vietnam is very developed, and the amount of cloth imported from China is also high. Nylon and knitted fabrics are the most expensive parts. The former is mainly used for Vietnamese footwear, raincoats and umbrellas, while the latter is mostly for the local clothing industry.
In terms of fiber (spinning) products, China also exports a lot to Vietnam, which is second only to cloth.
Knitted fabrics have also been the focus of many garment manufacturers who plan to develop the American market.
As is known to the US market, orders are mostly higher than knitted products.
Vietnam's knitted fabric market will be very attractive and explosive.
This shows that the production of knitting machinery and cotton manufacturers will face a very good business opportunities.
Thanks to the rapid development of the textile industry, Vietnam has become one of the major exporters of garments in the world.
In 2004, Vietnam's textile and clothing exports exceeded US $4 billion 300 million, and in 2010 we could reach US $80-90.
Our booth is limited and follows the principle of "first come first served". Therefore, we invite all Chinese exhibitors to make reservations as soon as possible.

Z market news
American buyers purchase Vietnamese textiles in large quantities.
The value of textile and clothing purchased from Vietnam by us importers and retailers reached $4 billion 250 million this year, up 40% from the same period last year.
The main US brand believes that Vietnam has become the world's most capable and reliable garment production platform. In the first 10 months of this year, Vietnam exported $3 billion 330 million worth of textiles to the United States, accounting for about 52% of Vietnam's total clothing exports.
Vietnam is considered one of many countries that can compete with China in many cases, especially in the textile industry.
Taiwan Formosa will expand its textile production base in Vietnam
Taiwan Economic Daily reported that Taiwan Formosa chemical and fiber company will invest 10 billion NT dollars to expand its textile base in Vietnam.
The goal of the investment plan is to expand the production of nylon fiber and yarn and plan to operate in 2009.
The project will encourage textile enterprises in the lower reaches of Taiwan to follow Formosa and form an industrial cluster in Vietnam.
Formosa chemical and fiber company is a subsidiary of Taiwan petrochemical giant Formosa Plastics Group. At present, the company operates a joint venture for textile production in Hu Zhiming.
Vietnam's textile industry is expanding overseas
According to the Vietnam economic times, the Ministry of planning and investment recently approved two foreign textile companies to invest abroad.
First, Honghe joint stock company invested $300 thousand to build a clothing product display and promotion center in Hongkong; two, Ninomax invested $950 thousand to set up fashion retail companies in the United States.
In addition, T&T of Hanoi has been approved to build garment factories in Angola. Vietnam Textile Group is planning to build a large commodity display center and distribution center in Europe.
The first garment manufacturer in Vietnam is listed on the Hu Zhiming stock exchange.
Yesterday, Vietnam Thanh Cong textile and garment joint stock company was listed on the Hu Zhiming stock exchange.
This is the first listed company in similar companies.
The price of the 500 hand stock is 54000 Vietnamese Dong (3.3 dollars), the highest allowed on the first day of trading, 20%.
At present, state holding is almost 34%, and its capital is about 190 billion Dong Dong.
But foreign shareholders have not yet been attracted.
In the first half of this year, the company's net profit was 62 billion 300 million Dong Dong, up from 19 billion 200 million Dong Dong in the same period in 2006.
Vietnamese clothing and textile exporters receive large US orders {page_break}
Vietnam's clothing and textile products surpassed crude oil for the first time and ranked first in the list of major export products.
Vietnam's clothing and textile exports are expected to reach US $7 billion 500 million this year (2007).
At the beginning of this year, many American Importers refused to sign contracts with Vietnamese businessmen. They were worried that the United States would supervise the Vietnamese clothing and textiles. Therefore, they might impose anti-dumping duties on Vietnamese clothing and textiles.
Now some big American Importers are returning to Vietnam with orders.
According to Vitas, there is no sharp increase in sales and prices of clothing and textiles in Vietnam. Therefore, the United States has no reason to implement surveillance measures for Vietnamese clothing and textile exports.
Importers' clothing and textile orders helped many Vietnamese companies increase their job opportunities.
Some garment and textile joint ventures, such as Long, Hung Yen and Hiep Hung, have received orders, and the production plan has been scheduled for the end of this year and the first quarter of next year.
(the above information is excerpt from China apparel net Oct.252007).
Vietnam's textile and garment industry needs a large number of imported equipment and raw materials.
In response to the opportunities and challenges facing Vietnam's textile industry after joining the World Trade Organization (WTO), and the rapid growth of garment exports driven by quota restrictions imposed on clothing exports from the United States, Vietnam textile and Garment Corporation will reinvest US $2 billion from 2006 to 2010 for textile machines, braiding machines, washing and dyeing machines, sewing machines and comprehensive brazing plant equipment.
The Vietnamese government plans to build 11 textile and garment industrial parks in 11 provinces and cities in Haiphong, North Ning, Xin'an, Taiping, Qinghua, Da Nang, general, Pingyang, longan, Can Tho and other provinces by 2010 respectively.
At present, three parks in Xin'an, Pingyang and Da Nang are under construction and have begun to take shape.
By 2010, Vietnam plans to produce 80 thousand tons of lint per year, 120 thousand tons of roving, 300 thousand tons of yarn, 1 billion 400 million square meters of finished goods and satin, 500 million knitted products and 1 billion 500 million garments.
Exports amounted to 8 billion -90 billion dollars.
To satisfy this huge export market, Vietnam needs to import a lot of textile and garment equipment.
