Johnson&Johnson Released A Handbook For Children'S Safe Travel To The World Expo

    2010/6/29 16:35:00 168

    The World Expo

The 2010 Shanghai World Expo is in full swing, and many citizens and tourists are eager to go there, looking forward to a happy day with their families at the Expo. The World Expo is expected to receive an average of 500000 visitors every day. For tourists with children, how to ensure the safety of children's travel also becomes a big test. Children's awareness of self-protection is relatively weak, and for most parents, there is also a lack of scientific and systematic understanding of how to effectively protect children's travel safety, so that in such a large event site as the World Expo, children's safety issues will inevitably become a worrying hidden danger.

As summer vacation approaches World Expo Tour Boom Johnson&Johnson, together with the international non-profit organization Global Children's Safety Network, appeals to the public to pay attention to children's travel safety, and provides parents with simple safety tips to help children travel safely and spend a happy holiday.

As a partner of the Global Child Safety Network, Johnson&Johnson has actively participated in various child safety activities organized by the organization in the past decade; Therefore, Johnson&Johnson understands the importance of paying attention to children's safety at any time and anywhere, especially in large-scale events such as the World Expo. With this original intention in mind, during the World Expo, Johnson&Johnson again cooperated with the Global Child Safety Network. In the 11th "Johnson&Johnson Children's Safety Month" in June, a series of summer child safety activities were held, and the World Expo children's safe travel plan was carried out, introducing some simple and effective action guidance for parents and children.

As part of the children's safe travel plan, 240000 safe travel education manuals funded by Johnson&Johnson are being distributed to more than 1200 kindergartens in Shanghai to guide parents on how to travel safely, such as how to avoid the loss of children when participating in large-scale events such as the Shanghai World Expo. At the same time, the special website for the event also has a special question and answer game for safe travel and a pocket book of safety tips to download for online interactive learning of children across the country. Special website address: www.safekidschina.org/expo

"Making travel plans before departure is one of the simple and effective ways to protect family travel safety," said Ms. Cui Minyan, chief representative and executive director of the Global Child Safety Network in China, "Before traveling, parents should take some time to get familiar with children's safe travel tips and communicate with their children. At the same time, parents are advised to prepare a safe travel package as needed, which will work well in emergencies. I hope parents can make plans to ensure the happiness and safety of summer travel."

"As parents, we are all worried about children getting lost in crowded places, such as shopping malls, cinemas, parks, and Shanghai World Expo Such a large venue. " As a teacher with 16 years of rich preschool teaching experience, as well as a parent, Ms. Qu Fengqin from Shanghai Peony Kindergarten said, "Therefore, when we take our children to crowded places, we should first teach them to get familiar with the surrounding new environment as soon as possible." Qu added, "Children's safety is our primary concern. While teaching children to develop necessary safe behavior habits, we also note that whether we educate children to care for themselves or others, we must tell them the most basic principles, and cultivate their caring spirit through friendliness, care, especially love."

Today, nearly 100 parents, teachers and children attended the launching ceremony of the "Children's Safe Travel Expo" activity supported by Johnson&Johnson, marking the successful departure of this activity. Under the guidance of Mr. Qu, the children simulated various safety problems they might encounter in safe travel through role playing, and knew how to deal with them to ensure safety. After the event, they received special rewards - a blessing card and Expo tickets. Xu Wencheng, General Manager of Shanghai Johnson Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. said: "This activity is an excellent example of Johnson&Johnson's" Little Care, Warm the World "activity, which proves that little care can gather great love. I am honored to participate in this warm project, which shows Johnson&Johnson's care for the community, especially during the World Expo. I wish you a happy and safe holiday!"

    Simple Child safety Travel tips:

    Before travel:

? The whole family discusses the travel itinerary and communicates with the children. Teach children to know necessary safety signs, such as safety exit, emergency rescue place and direct drinking water signs.

? Put bright and colorful clothes on children. Parents should also dress as brightly as possible so that they can find them quickly in the crowd.

? Prepare a safe travel bag and take necessary medical supplies, such as Band Aids, sterile alcohol cotton balls, and even antibiotic ointment. If the child has asthma, first aid drugs such as inhalers should be taken

? Teach children to remember their parents' phone numbers, or put an emergency contact card in their pocket or backpack to record the contact information of their guardians and other information, which should be written in both Chinese and English.

? On the day of travel, take a picture of the child with a camera or mobile phone, so that if the child is lost, the picture can provide clues, clarify the child's clothes, and facilitate the search.

    In the Expo Park:

? Familiarize yourself with the site. Agree a meeting place with the children in case of separation. For example, when looking for signs of information centers, parents had better take their children on the spot.

? Children should be taught to identify people who can help, such as Expo staff, volunteers or police, to familiarize themselves with their clothes, and to seek help from trusted professionals rather than strangers.

? An important and simple way to prevent loss is to make an agreement with children that wherever they go, they will always be within the scope of the project.

    Take public transportation:

? When taking public transport, such as buses, subways and taxis, parents should look after their children when they get on and off the bus. Be careful not to let children's hands and clothes touch the closing door, and do not lean against the windows and doors to prevent the doors and windows from opening.

    Take private car:

? Before driving, make sure your child sits in the back seat and fastens his seat belt.

? Never leave your child alone in the car.

? In the public parking lot, hold the children's hands tightly, and pay attention to the vehicles that are backing up.

    In the face of emergencies:

? When an emergency such as emergency evacuation occurs, tell the children to stay calm and follow the command of the on-site staff. And once again tell them that if they get separated, they should wait at the place agreed in advance or ask the reliable staff to call the parents according to the information of the emergency contact card.
