    "I heard that a garment factory nearby has just built a new factory and has added more than ten production lines, but so far it has not been able to start because the workers have recruited less than 20%."

    A local clothing company owner in Pinghu described the development bottlenecks of the industry to reporters.

    Constrained by the shrinking of labor resources and the rising cost of wages, many textile and garment enterprises in our city have no way to "digest" despite the order "full warehouse".


    According to the survey of 54 Key textile and garment export related enterprises in our city, as of the end of June, 66.7% of the enterprises' hand export orders were flat or increasing compared with the same period last year, of which 46.3% were higher than the same period last year.

    However, due to the indigestion of orders, some processing enterprises have come up with lists, or even forced to abandon them.


    On the other hand, factors such as tight land use, increased investment in environmental governance, and gradual standardization of labor protection all indicate that the burden on export cost of enterprises will increasingly increase.

    A recent questionnaire survey in our city shows that the increase of employees' remuneration in textile and garment enterprises this year is generally 10% to 20%.

    The price of raw materials has generally risen by 10% to 20% in recent years.


    The above factors have made the textile and apparel industry that has been running fast and fast enter a steady jogging phase.

    It is understood that in the first half of this year, our garment export was 1 billion 467 million US dollars, up 7.6% compared to the same period last year, and the growth rate is lagging behind.

    In Pinghu, which accounts for nearly 1/3 of clothing exports in our city, there has even been a regression phenomenon.

    Since the beginning of this year, clothing exports have been 436 million US dollars, down 4.6% from the same period last year.


    Domestic sales are "guaranteed" and e-commerce is becoming a fast track.


    Although the "semi annual report" of clothing exports is not beautiful, Qian Lianghua, director of the foreign trade and Economic Cooperation Bureau of Pinghu foreign trade and Economic Cooperation Bureau, told reporters that the domestic sales of Pinghu's clothing industry in the first half of the year were very fast. The leading domestic enterprises in Pinghu's main clothing industry grew by more than 20%.

    However, for foreign trade clothing enterprises accustomed to the export process of "order processing - delivery", domestic sales are not only the pformation of the market, but also the reconstruction of the whole enterprise system. Without mature experience, a group of clothing industry leaders have chosen e-commerce as a breakthrough in the domestic market.


    Wu Juming, manager of Huasheng garments import and export department, said that although the export volume of the company decreased by 42.8% this year, its domestic sales increased by 10%, making the total volume unchanged from the same period last year.

    The company also sells "women's brand" called "Barlow" on the Internet.


    Zhang Zhong, director of import and Export Department of Rome Zhong Wang, said that the company has been concerned about the operation mode of professional clothing e-commerce websites such as "domestic customer service" and "Masa Marceau". It has a shadow to some extent, mainly selling men's business casual wear such as shirts, trousers and POLO shirts.

    Since the beginning of the campaign, the publicity campaign has not yet been rolled out, but the company has decided that this is a general direction.


    Data show that in 2009, the sales volume of China's clothing market reached 1 trillion and 49 billion 90 million yuan.

    Among them, clothing sales online sales of 3 billion 900 million yuan, the market growth is huge.


    The author also noted that despite the long-term potential in the manufacturing industry, the clothing enterprises in our city have seen the potential of e-commerce, but bottlenecks in technology and talent need to be overcome in the future.
