European And American Front-Line Brands Change Frequently
Recently, the turnover of designers in Europe's leading brands is different from that of their predecessors. The new head of the replacement is not only the absolute backbone of the world, but also a kind of low-key and pragmatic Gentle temperament, or "no impression" doctrine, which is despised by the fashion industry. Some say that choosing them seems to be out of a "post crisis strategy", and others think they will redefine the luxury brand management model in the early twenty-first Century.
Where is the handmade custom road of noble birth?
You don't need to replace wardrobe every six months, or buy the latest designer bag from time to time. This is very superficial. I think elegance and self importance are closely linked.
-- Christophe Lemaire
Herm s is an exemplary image of luxury and exquisite life, which has long been popular among the people. In the fashion world, there is a story that is not true: a rich man who likes to live a luxurious life can't go back to the place where he has gone bankrupt. When he enters the apartment that the lower level servants will choose, he still carries a fine and elegant leather suitcase. It was hard for him to maintain his daily expenses and advised him to sell the box, "at least enough for you to spend the first half of the year."
"No," said the old gentleman stubbornly. "At least I still feel that I am rich." Visual pleasure and a moment of arrogance arise, and the meaning of life is humbled in the LOGO of a needle or carriage.
Herm s, who has always been faithful to her, has announced the departure of JeanPaul Gaultier. He has been the director of dress design for more than 7 years. The French designer, who transformed from wildness to classical elegance, will focus on his brand in the future and maintain a 45% stake in Herm s. Beyond many people's expectation, the vacancy behind Gaultier will be replaced by lacoste's designer Christophe Lemaire. The brand is famous for its crocodile sign for many years, mainly for sportswear and accessories, and Herm s, which is handy and elegant. As for the incessant questioning of the market, Lemaire keeps his low key as always.
But the low-key Lemaire has a clear and pragmatic view of the future of fashion. He thinks fashion will return to elegance, simplicity, texture and classic. He said, "you don't need to change wardrobe every six months, or buy designer bags from time to time." I think elegance and self importance are closely related.
In an interview with reporters, Lemaire's reply in person convinced him that he had a very complete conception of costume aesthetics and the design director of Herm s.
Reporter: who is your favorite designer?
Phoebe Philo, the designer of Lemaire:Celine, is my favorite designer. I also like the works of Apiece Apart.
Interviewer: who is suitable for your design?
Lemaire: those who value style more than fashion. There are many basic elements in my design, you can add your own creativity and wear your own unique flavor.
Reporter: what do you think of the uniform way of dressing now?
Lemaire: I really hate the idea of changing wardrobe every six months. I think everyone should find their own characteristics.
Interviewer: how do you describe your personal style?
Lemaire: I will mix all kinds of Chinese, Japanese, costumes and Western style work clothes.
Reporter: what style do you like now?
Lemaire: I am very glad that we are now returning to a normal understanding: high quality, immortal and concise design. I think women who pursue fashion are just like slaves to luxury goods. Now, we really need the design of real self importance.
Reporter: do you think those trends will fade away?
Lemaire: I'm tired of rock and roll, hippie and punk style, and I don't like it either. I love music, but I really hate this superficial style of rock and roll. The fashion page in Purple magazine seems to me to be a joke.
Reporter: why?
Lemaire: because they are superficial, they pretend to be rebels, but in essence, they are the biggest victims of this system.
Reporter: what is the single item you most want to buy now?
Lemaire: classic Herm s key chain.
Interviewer: what kind of single product do you think every man should have?
Lemaire: a pair of shoes that make you feel handsome and comfortable.
It's hard to imagine where Lemaire will take Herm s.
