China'S Consumer Information Index Appears To Be More Rural Than Urban.
The latest Chinese consumer confidence index shows that in the second quarter of this year, China's consumer confidence index was 109, an increase of 1 points over the first quarter, and has continued to rise for five consecutive quarters, among which consumer confidence in rural areas continues to rise.

The optimistic judgement of macroeconomic situation shows that consumer confidence is on the rise. It has climbed from 89 in the first quarter of 2009 to 109 in the two quarter of this year, an increase of 20 points.
However, the report also pointed out that the second quarter of urban and rural consumer confidence showed a certain degree of difference, rural consumer confidence increased by 6 points, reaching 117, and their employment, income status and improvement expectations were significantly higher than urban consumers, the immediate consumption intention was relatively high, while urban consumer confidence showed a drop, but basically still above the economic critical point.
With regard to the trend of housing prices, 71% of rural consumers expect housing prices to rise. The proportion of urban consumers expected to rise is significantly reduced, and the expected decline is clearly increasing. This shows that market regulation plays a certain role in anticipation of consumers in cities, especially in the first tier cities.
