American Journal: Money Paves The Way For China'S "Two Generation Rich" Study Abroad

    2010/8/16 17:37:00 13

One Born With A Silver Spoon In One'S Mouth

Howard Gou and Julius Gogh from Shanghai hope to become soon.

    Harvard University

    A member.

Gu and Gao Du are 16 years old. They are few entrepreneurs.

The two parents spent nearly 200 thousand dollars on an educational project to get them to attend famous universities in the United States - not only to enter, but also to stand out there.

What did their parents get for their money? In the three or four years before they went to American universities, they would attend classes on weekends and summer and travel with small groups.

A teacher from an educational institution in Shanghai has just graduated from the best university in China.

They are taught by people and are not very Confucian: the class size is very small, and students can challenge their teachers.

"I don't think that's the right choice. I think you may have overlooked some facts," Gu said to his teacher, Li Yun.

Previously, in an English listening test, Gu answered a wrong question.

Their classroom is located in a common office building in Pudong, Shanghai.

It was a hot morning in July. Gu and Gao were the only two students. Their teacher, Li Yun, was patiently explaining why he was wrong. Li Yun, 28, had a master's degree in Nanjing University.

Gu did not give up easily: "I don't think this is the way you find the answer."

    But he is still wrong.

A young student in a privileged classroom naturally has this view.

Gu is one of Asia's largest supermarket equipment suppliers, including Carrefour and Tesco. He hopes to take over the family business one day.

Gao Jia's enterprise is the main electronic product and real estate enterprise in China. He is going to work in investment bank after he graduated from university.

For wealthy families who want their children to take over family businesses,

    U.S.A

The best college degree is 200 thousand dollars, which is not very expensive. So is spending money on preparation.

Special courses targeting these children are in fashion now.

State media recently reported on a government approved "two generation" training program.

The project was carried out in July, with more than 100 "

One born with a silver spoon in one's mouth

The course includes the secrets of the ancient emperors dealing with the issue of location, as well as the course of loyalty to the party taught by officers of the Chinese people's Liberation Army.

China has passed the stage of constant attention to the western university students.

Today, tens of thousands of privileged students go abroad to pursue advanced studies through a paved road.

They consulted the entire application process, including interviewing and studying abroad.

The rising rich generation has no class enemies in China.

The educational institution in Shanghai allowed reporters to enter the classroom and attend the interview with Gu Gao, on the premise that they did not publish the names of two people and the names of family businesses.

Gu said that studying in this institution was only part of his extracurricular activities.

He is still "practicing how to do business" to help his brother sell red wine, and most of his customers are parents of his classmates.

"I can earn some pocket money, too, because the stock I bought is down," he said with a naughty smile.

Sounds like he's ready to report to Harvard.
