Chinese consumers began to open their purse as they worried about the two economic recession and carefully calculated every cent.

According to recent data from McKinsey, a global management consultancy, China's retail sales grew by an annual rate of 25% between 2007 and 2009.

Confidence has reached its highest level since 2007, and women have become the leading force in the trend of shopping.

A recent survey by Chinese women showed that Chinese women saved 55% of their income in 2006, while in 2009, Chinese women only stored 24% of their income.

In addition, Chinese women in 3/4 say they hold the financial power of the family.

This means that 650 million women in China are becoming new generators in the "power station" of China's economy.

In 1950s, Chinese female income accounted for only 20% of household income; in 1990s, it accounted for 40%; in 2009, this proportion increased to 50%.

A recent McKinsey Co survey of Chinese consumer behavior shows that women spend more time on shopping than men, and spend more on personal belongings and food.

Men invest most of their income in small parts, drinking and social networking. The biggest investment is car and housing.

It is predicted that in the next five years, Chinese women will be

    Luxury goods

Consumption will account for 55% of the market and the future belongs to women.

Morgan Stanley economist Stephen Hroch predicts that in the next 5 years, China's luxury market share will increase to 9 billion yuan (61 billion 200 million yuan), while female consumption will account for 55%.

A recent survey of 3500 women by the Chinese market research group, a global market research and research firm, found that Chinese women aged under 35 were the most optimistic. 80% of respondents said that consumer spending in the second half of 2010 was definitely higher than that in the first half of the year.

In line with this trend, Chinese women will give new meaning to "pocketbook".
