Footwear Design From Industrial Design

(1) the meaning of industrial design

Industrial design is based on products produced in large industrial scale. It uses technology and artistic vision to create products with new practical functions or appearance. It involves many aspects such as engineering technology and art.

There are two kinds of things human beings face: 1, natural substances; 2, man-made things.

It mainly studies the harmonious development of the relationship between the three elements of people and products and society. Its value orientation and fundamental purpose is to create a more reasonable way of survival (use) for human beings through scientific and human design, that is to say, it is more reasonable to design ideas and methods with industrial design.

(two) basic concepts of industrial design

1, industrial design is to create a more reasonable way of survival (use) for mankind.

Wrong understanding:

(1) industrial design is the product design.

(2) industrial design is understood as the use and design of technology.

In the course of development and change, human society is constantly changing and adjusting to objective laws, concepts, social norms, life demands, work requirements, entertainment requirements and health requirements. Rationality is only relative rationality, and industrial design is a process that people pursue the reasonable way of existence.

The fundamental starting point of product design is that as the object of industrial design service, people must thoroughly study the needs of people and people (physiological and psychological needs), and people's needs are the fundamental basis for creating a reasonable way to survive.

Man has two attributes:

(1) the natural (biological) attribute reflects the practical function of the product to the demand of the product;

(2) social (mental) attributes reflect the aesthetic and symbolic functions of products in the demand for products.

As a designer, we should comprehensively study the material needs and spiritual needs of human beings.

From the perspective of human biology and product material function, we must study the following aspects:

(1) to study and understand the physiological anatomy, ergonomics, human body movement and behavioral science of the human body, so that the designed products can meet the physiological needs of human beings.

(2) to study various factors that form products, such as process technology, structural construction, material properties, value engineering, marketing, etc., so that products can be pformed from design into physical objects.

(3) to study the way of product market circulation, such as advertising, CI planning, etc., to communicate between consumers and products.

Starting from the social nature of human beings and the realization of their spiritual functions, we must study the following two aspects:

(1) aiming at the aesthetic function, research aesthetics, color science, morphology, sketch, pattern, etc.

(2) in view of the symbolic function of the product, the basic knowledge of industrial design on the basis of psychological, philosophical, sociological, anthropological and other headers is studied.
