Founded in 1854, LV is now part of the Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton group, which specializes in luxury goods in France.

In February 1998, LV's world's first flagship store opened in Paris, and second of them opened in Bond street, London.

In August and September of the same year, third and fourth flagship stores opened in Osaka and New York respectively.

In 1999, LV opened a flagship store in Central Plaza, Hongkong, covering two floors, with a total of 6600 square meters.
