Our province is a large animal husbandry province with rich leather resources.

However, due to low technological level and weak processing capacity, a large quantity of leather was pported to the developed areas along the southeast coast as raw materials.

In order to revitalize the leather industry of our province, in 2005, the provincial government formulated the "implementation plan for the development of leather industry", and made arrangements for accelerating the development of leather industry in the whole province.

At present, our province's leather industry has already formed two obvious advantages. First, our province is located in the core area of Northeast Asia, which is conducive to importing tannery technology and funds from Japan and Korea, developing the resources of Russia and Mongolia, and developing the market of Northeast Asian countries.

Two, the changjtu area was once the most developed area of leather processing industry in the province. The implementation of the strategy for the development and opening up area of changjilu will strongly push forward the development of leather processing industry in our province.

More than 10 key enterprises in the province have made in-depth discussions on the future development plan of leather industry.

Cheson, director of the provincial Leather Association, said that in the face of rare development opportunities, the leather industry should insist on cluster production and centralized management, and take the road of circular economy, with the Haoyue International Leather Industrial Park and the Taonan Leather Industrial Park as the carrier, to build a domestic leather pfer base.

The footwear industry should develop the existing Liaoyuan Rosa international leather shoes industrial park, warm bird group shoes company, Baishan double star shoes industry and other enterprises.
