Comprehensive media reported on December 6th, senior government officials said that the quantity of cotton arrived in India's domestic spot market has fallen by 2.5% over the year 2010/11, but this week, the increase was due to the suspension of rain in cotton growing areas.
A senior official of the State Cotton enterprise in India said on Monday that the volume of December 5th arrived at 7 million 20 thousand packages (1 packets equivalent to 170 kilograms), which was 7 million 200 thousand packs last year, due to the non seasonal rainfall of 10, 11 and two months, and cotton crops.
