On December 20~22, the "China Leather Industry Development Forum" and "China Leather Association leather Specialized Committee 2010 annual meeting" were held by the China Leather Association, the China leather and footwear industry research institute, the national leather and footwear industry productivity promotion center and the Suining County Government jointly held. Wang Jun said in his speech that leather and leather industry is the traditional dominant industry in Suining. In recent years, in order to promote the continuous development and growth of the industry, Suining has persisted in the development direction of industrial clustering, focusing on Guangdong tanning and Weihong industries, and vigorously developing animal husbandry and aquaculture in the upper reaches. In March 2009, the leather and leather industry in Suining was established by the Jiangsu provincial Party committee and the provincial government as a model project to revitalize Subei pillar industries and the Jiangsu provincial Party committee. The same year, in December of the same year, the Xuzhou government approved the establishment of Xuzhou leather products gathering area in the Suining Economic Development Zone, and the effect of industrial agglomeration was initially formed.

Yang Chengjie, President of China leather and footwear industry research institute, analyzed that at present, China's leather industry is carrying out industrial transfer under the pressure of environmental protection, land, labor and other factors. Suining's favorable conditions and favorable policy environment in related aspects make it a good place to transfer and bring opportunities for the industry to take root. He suggested that Suining should seize the opportune moment of industrial transfer and strive to become "the first county of leather and shoemaking industry in China".

Su Chaoying believes that the famous shoemaking enterprises such as American camels and thousand hundred degrees shoe industry have settled in Suining and formed a complete industrial chain with the local tannery enterprises, forming a good beginning for the leather industry in Suining, reflecting the superior external environment of Suining, the higher quality of the labor force and the strong integration of resources. He put forward four suggestions for leather enterprises in Suining: ensuring a high starting point, not repeating construction, saving energy and reducing consumption, "cleaner production", concentrating production and concentrating pollution control, paying attention to the protection of intellectual property rights and the protection of workers' rights and interests.

At the meeting, the experts made a report on the leather industry related policies and the development of China leather industry, and exchanged views on the current hot issues in leather industry.
