The Forty-Second Hongkong Fashion Festival Autumn Winter Series Is About To Start

Zhou Qiliang, vice president of Hongkong TDC, said at a press conference today: Hongkong Fashion Festival, autumn and winter series and Hongkong international fashion collection are great events in the local fashion industry. This year's activities continue to be supported by many internationally renowned designers and brands, further consolidating Hongkong's position as Asia's fashion trend.

The two exhibition provides an ideal platform for local and overseas top designers and young designers in Hongkong to gather together to show their works and exchange experiences.

Hongkong Fashion Festival autumn winter series 2011 exhibitors from 22 countries and regions, including Hongkong, mainland China, Macao, Taiwan, Bangladesh, Canada, France, Greece, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Lebanon, Mexico, Philippines, Poland, Singapore, Spain, Turkey, Britain, the United States and Vietnam.

This year, Hongkong Fashion Festival autumn winter series will have 11 theme exhibition areas, closely related to the development of the industry to facilitate buyers and exhibitors to find partners.

The theme exhibition area includes clothing hall, fashion Gallery, underwear garment, baby and children's clothing, bridal gown, evening wear, cloth and yarn products, accessories products, business services and provide professional inspection and certification services for quality inspection and other professional services.

In addition, the EmporiumdeMode exhibition area of this exhibition has increased by 47% over the past year, showing more creative and hand-made fashion lines.

This year, Hongkong international fashion collection was first attended by exhibitors from Egypt and cypress.

The Hongkong Fashion Designers Association will lead 8 local designers, the Hongkong fur industry association, the Hongkong footwear industry (1970) association, the Taiwan Textile Development Association and the Tokyo Fashion Designers Association.

On the first day of the exhibition, the grand show of Hongkong magnificent show invited four famous international fashion designers to participate in their latest works, including Japan's Maruyama Keita (KeitaMaruyama), South Korea's DoiiLee, Beijing's Hongkong (AlexWang) and Hongkong's Zheng Zhaoliang (BarneyCheng).

The Hongkong youth fashion designers' performance competition 2011 finals (YDC) will also be held on the second day (January 18th). 16 young designers will show their outstanding works to the professional jury.

The judges of this competition were judged by the renowned French designer and chief designer MartineSitbon of the brand RueduMail. Other members of the jury included Fang Gang, the chairman of the Advisory Committee of the Hongkong TDC garment industry, the famous judge, the famous fashion designer Zhang Jiewen, the editor director Zhang Yu of VogueChina, the chairman and chief executive Chen Guanghua of SemeioticsInc., the managing director of the new weaving factory, Liang Jiayan, the chief designer Li Yiming of RMCJeans, and the JoyceBoutiqueLimited purchasing manager, Mo Ziliang.

The winner of this competition will have the opportunity to intern with the brand RueduMail, and some of the winning series will also be arranged for display at JoyceBoutique's bell shop.

In addition, Liang Yongsheng, BillyLeung, Wu Weile (Liu Siyuan), Liu Siyuan (MichaelLau) and Ren Minghui (MountainYam) four successive YDC winners will display their design works on the theme of "PhantomPlay" on the night of the finals.

During the exhibition, the conference will arrange a number of different fashion shows, including the fashion brand show, showing different countries' brands, including MODLEDEPRUDENCE (Hongkong), Qin Yi (Qinyi) (mainland China), tokyoeye (Japan) and Soucha (Egypt).

In addition, the industry leaders from all over the world are invited to chair seminars and share insights.

The international authoritative fashion forecasting agency will host a number of fashion trends in the future, including WGSN from the United Kingdom, FashionSnoops and Stylesight from the United States, and the French brand RueduMail will also host the workshop, sales director and operation director to share the successful global brand strategy and creative design of the brand RueduMail, and will show the design of the brand 2011 spring summer series.

In addition, the general assembly also worked with the Japanese Trade Promotion Agency (JapaneseExternalTradeOrganization) to invite Japanese fashion representatives and Japanese fashion news reporters to deconstruct the secrets of Japanese fashion success.

In 2009, the total export value of clothing and accessories in Hongkong amounted to HK $176 billion 900 million.

The total value of exports in the first 11 months of 2010 was HK $171 billion 400 million, up 5.4% from the same period last year.

The five main export markets are the United States, Britain, Germany, Japan and France.

TONI&GUY's international fine arts director, BillWatson, will also be directing from Britain to Hong Kong.
