Li Keqiang: Against Unfair Trade Remedy Measures Against Chinese Products

On January 12th, Vice Premier Li Keqiang met with British business secretary Cable in London.

Li Keqiang said that China and Britain are both economic powers, and their economic and trade cooperation has a good foundation and broad prospects.

The two sides should establish more strategic, long-term and global economic and trade relations and jointly promote economic growth.

We should further expand mutual investment, deepen cooperation in infrastructure construction, high-end manufacturing, service trade, energy development, innovation and technology, and jointly develop the third party market.

Li Keqiang encouraged British companies to continue to invest in China, and encouraged Chinese enterprises to invest in the UK to start businesses.

He said China will continue to improve its investment environment and provide convenient conditions for British enterprises.

He said that the British government and the business community are committed to developing closer economic ties with China. The two countries have strong economic complementarity and great potential for expanding cooperation.

The British entrepreneurs who participated in the talks introduced the investment and operation in China and indicated that they would further develop the Chinese market.

Subsequently, Li Keqiang accompanied him to the British Academy of building science and Technology Innovation Park, and visited the latest research progress and achievements of low carbon architecture and community.
