The second largest market for textile sales in France is Turkey, whose exports to the EU have increased by 8.7%, Tunisia's growth by 7.7%, Morocco's growth by 10.4%, and Ukraine's growth by 12.1%.

On the contrary, exports of European Union clothing were weak, with a slight increase of 0.1% from 1 to September last year, the report said.

The gap between the economic recovery countries and the consumer market is very large. Last year, EU clothing exports to the United States increased by 9%, and exports to China increased by 24.8% (29.4% in the Hongkong area).

The biggest customer of EU clothing export, Switzerland, has rebounded by 2.1%, and its second largest customers continued to drop by 4.5%, down 5.5% in Norway, 0.9% in Japan and 25% in the United Arab Emirates.

The report said that in the first 9 months of last year, the import of EU clothing increased by only 2.7%, and China, the largest country exporting textile and garment industry (42% of the European market share), continued to slow down, with an increase of only 8.6%.

Some commentators believe that the main reason is the increase in wages of Chinese workers, the increase in costs and the pfer of procurement.

But some experts believe that the average price of Chinese clothing exported to Europe is not high, second only to its rival Bangladesh.

Pakistan is the sixth largest supplier of textile and apparel in the European Union. Although sales of cotton hit hard last year, sales to the European Union continued to grow by 10.9%.

Turkey, the second largest supplier of the European Union, has increased its sales of textiles and clothing by 10%, but experts believe that Turkey is far from China.

Tunisia exports to Europe increased by 3.5%, and Morocco's growth rate was 4.3%.
