Thailand Nano Products Are Classified As Label Control Products.

On February 26th, the Minister of state affairs of Thailand, Weng an, said that the consumer protection association would be required.

A joint investigation by the consumer protection association, the Thailand science and technology development center and the Thailand science and Technology Association found that many nanoscale bath towels are counterfeit products, and many vendors do not understand nanotechnology.

Weng an said that many consumers are interested in nanoscale products, especially the textile products produced by nanotechnology, which have strong absorption, antibacterial and antibacterial effects. Therefore, a lot of nano products, such as clothes, socks, underwear, bath towels and so on, are emerging on the market. But at present, there is no clear management method or law of nano products in Thailand. If we buy some counterfeit products, it will endanger consumers' health.

Therefore, it is necessary to unify the label of nano products, and it is necessary to pass the inspection by relevant departments before passing the nano label.

Weng also said that the consumer protection association is required to announce that the nano products will be the product of the label control within 1 months. After the Consumer Association announces that the nano products are the product of the label control, the counterfeit nanomaterials will be sentenced to 1 years' imprisonment and a fine of 100 thousand baht. Without proper use of nanolabelling, they will be sentenced to 6 months' imprisonment and a fine of 50 thousand baht. If the product is not in conformity with the content of the advertisement, the crime of fraud will be punished for 3 years' imprisonment.
