"(GB18401-2010) will replace the 2003 edition standard and will be formally implemented in August 1, 2011.

The basic technical specification for national textile products is the first textile product safety technical specification formulated after the entry into the WTO and according to the agreement on technical barriers to trade (TBT).

Since its implementation in January 1, 2005, it has played an important role in effectively protecting the health of our textile consumers, standardizing the market of textile products and improving the overall level of China's textile industry.

Compared with the 2003 edition, the new version of the 2010 Edition mainly includes the following modifications: the scope of application, in addition to retaining the original intake and

The textile catalogue of this standard range increased from 10 to 13 categories. New disposable sanitary products, bags, back bags, shoes, umbrellas and carpets were added. Banned azo dyes added "4- amino azobenzene" to 24 species; increased color fastness, formaldehyde, pH value, and decomposition of carcinogenic aromatic amine dyes were required for sampling test; the range of pH value of directly contacting skin textile products was changed from 4.0~7.5 to 4.0~8.5; for color fastness testing, the saliva fastness was prescribed only for infants and young children's textile products, and curtains and other decorative products were not tested for perspiration fastness, and natural and bleached products and traditional handmade coloring products such as tie dye and batik were not tested for color fastness. New textile products were added to textile products; the definition of infants and young children changed from 24 months to less than 36 months.
