Liu Binjie said that at present, there are about more than 6000 non political newspapers in China, including the metropolitan newspapers and evening newspapers run by the central and local party newspapers and periodicals, and newspapers and periodicals run by all legal entities, such as publishing groups running newspapers, newspaper groups running newspapers, and other industrial newspapers and periodicals such as PetroChina and PetroChina.

This year, the three types of newspapers and periodicals must be pformed. At present, more than 1300 units have been restructured, and the rest involve more than 5000 units.

According to its disclosure, the Central Committee's views on deepening the structural reform of non current press publishing units are also about to be issued.

In fact, in April 20th, the press and Publication Administration issued the "12th Five-Year development plan" of the press and publication industry, it clearly pointed out that "further developing key enterprises of press and publication, encouraging qualified press and publishing enterprises to cross regional, cross industry and cross ownership management and regrouping, and promoting the proper concentration of news and publishing resources to dominant enterprises."

In this regard, the General Administration of press and publication's goal is very clear, in the next five years will create a large number of publishing media "aircraft carrier".

According to the plan, in the next 5 years, the number of newspapers and periodicals published in China will be reduced by half to 5000 and the total proportion of newspapers and periodicals published by non independent legal persons will be reduced from 65% to below 30%.

The plan also pointed out that it is necessary to integrate high-quality publishing resources of various departments and departments of the central government and build three or four central state-owned large publishing media group companies.

With the deepening of publishing system reform, in recent years, the news and publishing industry has been pformed into enterprises, joint reorganization and listing.

Statistics show that in February 2010 and May, the China Publishing Group reorganized the China democracy and legal publishing house and the Chinese language publishing house. In June, the Zhejiang daily newspaper group and the seeking truth magazine jointly reorganized the Red Flag Publishing House. In July, the Limited by Share Ltd and the Heilongjiang Publishing Group jointly contributed to reorganize the Heilongjiang Xinhua Bookstore publication chain business; in November, the northern joint publishing media group (Limited by Share Ltd) signed a joint stock rights cooperation agreement with Tianjin publishing media group Co., Ltd. and Inner Mongolia Xinhua Distribution Group Limited by Share Ltd.

In 2010, there were 7 enterprises listed in the national publishing industry. In January, the first stock in the Xinhua bookstore system was listed on Anhui new media. In October, Zhongnan media, as a IPO publishing and publishing media share of the whole industry chain, successfully landed on the A stock main board market; Jiangxi Publishing group, Zhejiang daily newspaper group and Hubei Changjiang publishing media group Co., Ltd. realized backdoor listing respectively.

According to media reports, at present, the Southern Newspaper Group intends to backdoor *ST Yan Huang, Guangzhou daily newspaper group will inject core business assets into Guangdong Media and so on.

According to sources, more than 13 publishing groups have been approved by the General Administration of press and publication.

The publishing industry in China is undergoing a great pformation.

Industry experts believe that the whole industry will be weaned by a piece of paper. Therefore, 2011 will be a critical year for China's press and publishing industry. It will be a turning point. China's news and publishing industry will complete pformation and reconstruction.

BOC International analysts believe that there may be three trends in the capital operation of the media industry in the future. First, the number and market value of the listed companies in the media industry will have a relatively rapid rise.
