ECFA Benefits Highlight &Nbsp; Cross Strait Textile And Garment Cooperation Deepens.

In many textile and apparel professional exhibitions in China, Haibo has always been unique in its theme of "Taiwan oriented characteristics" and "cross-strait cooperation theme".

"The signing of the framework agreement on Cross Straits economic cooperation" (ECFA) has strongly promoted the interaction between the two sides.

At the fourteenth session of the Haibo conference, Huang Weiji, head of the Taiwan textile industry exhibition group and Secretary General of Taiwan textile and Extension Association, said that this year, Haibo promoted a new upsurge of interaction between Taiwan and Shishi textile and garment industry.

Import and export increase for half a year, ECFA benefits continue to show.

It is learnt that the "Cross Strait Economic Cooperation Framework Agreement" (ECFA) was signed in June 29th last year and came into effect in September 12th.

Over the past six months, the effectiveness of ECFA has been emerging.

"Since January 1st this year, 136 textiles and 21 textiles in the mainland of Taiwan have begun to enjoy the preferential tariff reductions offered by the other side."

Huang Weiji said that according to the statistics of import and export trade of Taiwan customs, the amount of textiles exported to the mainland in the first two months of this year amounted to US $414 million (of which 57% of cloth and 30% of yarn) accounted for 22% of the total value of textiles exports in Taiwan, accounting for 22% US dollars, compared with the same period last year by 45%. While the amount of textiles imported from the mainland in Taiwan was 147 million dollars, accounting for 27% of the total value of Taiwan textile imports, an increase of 21% over the same period last year.

This time, the Taiwan textile and apparel industry group participated in the high enthusiasm of Haibo. A total of 29 enterprises were exhibiting and 54 exhibitors. More than 110 people from Taiwan textile industry visited Shishi and held two dynamic shows.

Taiwan Textile Development Association has been participating in the group since 1999 at the second Haibo conference.

On the opening day, as one of the important activities of the fourteenth Haibo conference, the "textile entrepreneurs' day and the second cross strait textile enterprise industrial chain meeting" once again highlighted the theme of cross-strait cooperation.

Chen Shujin, Sun Ruizhe, vice chairman of the China Textile Industry Association, deputy secretary general, Yang Jun, vice chairman of the China Textile Entrepreneurs Association, Huang Weiji, Secretary General of Taiwan Textile Development Association, Huang Zhanghuang, vice chairman of the Shishi CPPCC, and more than 130 textile companies from across the Taiwan Strait attended this event.

At the meeting, the national textile products development center Li Binhong, Germany Hayes Tan Research Institute Huang Haibin, Federation Sanhe Textile Trade Co., Ltd. For a long time, the textile industry in Taiwan has taken a prominent position in product R & D, design and innovation, especially in terms of functional textiles. The clothing brands in the mainland are gradually expanding the use of high-grade fabrics in Taiwan and all kinds of environmental friendly fabrics.

In recent years, with the introduction of a series of measures in the central and Fujian to promote the economic development of the west coast of the Straits, "textile entrepreneurs' activities day and the cross strait textile enterprises' industrial chain docking conference" make full use of the Haibo platform to promote the development of cross-strait textile and clothing and realize the cross-strait industry docking.

At the meeting, Gage (China) weaving and dyeing Co., Ltd., Xu Rong Group, Shandong Yi Fa group, Anhui Huamao Group, Shanghai Changsheng textile products company and other five enterprises also signed spot contracts on cold pfer printing technology and production cooperation.

According to Wang Yanzhu, chairman of gage company, this cooperation stems from the first meeting of last year's meeting. At that time, the introduction of the 7 minute speech made by the representative of Taiwan Changsheng company aroused gage's great concern. After many discussions, it helped to form a joint stock company of 5 companies such as gage and Changsheng, and further developed and popularized the cold pfer printing project.

This project is described by Wang Yan as "printing machine in the printing and dyeing industry", which can be dyed in India at room temperature, which agrees with the green and low carbon environmental protection trend.

And in the new show that gage and designer Wu Haiyan jointly launched, cold pfer printing technology is very bright for knitting pattern, cowboy effect, flower pattern performance and rich color.

At the subsequent stage of the conference exchange, representatives from both sides of the Strait also introduced their practices and experiences in technology, product development and management, and communicated and discussed issues of mutual interest.

Vice President Chen Shujin pointed out in the meeting summary that Taiwan can play a unique role in the global operation of mainland enterprises. The enterprises on both sides of the Straits should play their respective advantages together and make good use of new fibers and new fabrics. Two degree innovation and joint innovation will maximize the docking effect.
