Reporter: as a top shoe designer in the world, your work has been madly sought after by women. But in traditional sense, men and heels seem to be a little far away. When did you become interested in high-heeled shoes?

Louboutn: it's my pleasure to hear such news.

When I was 12 years old, I often skipped classes to see some female models in some French nightclubs, because their high heels attracted me. In my view, high heeled shoes were all about legs and body decoration. Although I was obsessed with high heels, I finally gave up my studies and met with unanimous objections from family and friends. But I was loyal to my interests and I did it.

Reporter: the shoes you design have two most striking characteristics. One is the heel is very high, the highest can reach 16.51 centimeters, the other is the red sole. What kind of idea inspired your inspiration?

Louboutn: in the 80s of last century or so, heels were very short, with a maximum of 2 to 3 inches. The shape of the heels was almost square, and the colors of the shoes were the same. When the feet moved, the exposed soles lacked vitality and passion, and all the attention was scattered to the upper.

So I designed the cones and added the height of the heel so that the legs of the women looked more slender. The red soles made the wearers move with all their might.

The shoes I designed are expensive but well worth the money.

Reporter: but too high heels will affect the health of the feet, and easily cause ankle fractures, and the balance will be even worse.

Louboutn: this idea is actually a misunderstanding of ordinary people.

In fact, as long as the material and angle of the heel used in the design are sufficiently accurate, it can fully support the weight of the body and achieve a balanced state.

For example, a perfect heel needs wooden material to make a shoe heel model, and the supporting metal material is used as the internal fulcrum to insert the heel. I once made a heel of up to 6.5 inches, but the wearer can still walk steadily without falling forward. This is the reason.

Interviewer: I found on the Internet that the average price of your shoes is as high as 700 dollars a pair. Is it a bit expensive?

Louboutn: value for money.

As long as you can have a pair of shoes that are uniquely designed, every woman will not be stingy.

In China, my shoes sell very well, and the appreciation and consumptive ability of Chinese girls are also amazing to me.

Reporter: last question, which is very interesting, how high can you design the heel?

Louboutn: for me, how high is the sky and how high the heel is. I will never think that the height of my heel is high enough.
