According to the sampling survey of the Hebei investigation team of the National Bureau of statistics, due to the increase in cotton planting area in Hebei this year, the growth is better than last year, and the total output is expected to increase substantially.

It is estimated that the average output of lint per mu is 67.5 kg, an increase of 0.4 kg over the previous year, an increase of 0.6%, and the total output of 631 thousand tons, an increase of 54 thousand tons over the previous year, an increase of 9.4%.

The main reason for the increase in cotton production in Hebei this year is mainly the planting area.

According to survey statistics, cotton prices climbed all the way in 2005, an increase of 14.9% over 2004, and the net income of Mu reached 778.54 yuan, an increase of 109.56 yuan over the previous year's 668.98 yuan, an increase of 16.4%, much higher than that of 215.7 yuan of wheat and 167.6 yuan of corn's net income.

During the growth period of cotton this year, most of the regions have sufficient light and abundant rainfall. The temperature, light and water conditions meet the cotton growth needs.
