The school was established in 1979, and was assigned to the General Logistics Department of the PLA in 1984. The college is located in the hometown of Guo Shoujing, the scientist of Yuan Dynasty, Xingtai, Hebei. Xingtai has profound historical and cultural background, convenient pportation, beautiful environment and well-developed information.

The college now covers an area of 731 mu, with a gross floor area of 319 thousand and 600 square meters, and a total value of 105 million 750 thousand yuan of teaching equipment, 8016 yuan for students and 1 million 159 thousand and 800 volumes of books. It has a large library, gymnasium, standard sports ground and Gigabit Campus Network.
