Ganxi Vocational Institute of Science and Technology is a full-time general higher vocational and technical college which has been approved by the Jiangxi Provincial People's government and set up by the Ministry of education for the record. The college recruits the whole country and integrates into the national unified enrollment plan.

The college is located in the urban area of the national garden city of Xinyu, with more than 1 students.

The college has a high quality, reasonable structure and sufficient number of teachers. There is a faculty of more than 470 people who are mainly doctorate, Professor, associate professor, graduate student, senior engineer, lecturer and double teacher. Many of them are excellent managers and experts from colleges and universities in and outside the province, as well as the backbone of enterprise technology, national, provincial and municipal labor models. Mr. Hu Zhenpeng, deputy director of the National People's Congress and deputy director and doctoral tutor of Jiangxi Provincial People's Congress, was appointed visiting professor in our college.

The college has advanced network center and campus broadband network, and has advanced teaching equipment such as high standard computer operation center, electronic technology experiment center, household electrical appliance experiment center, fashion design operation center, clothing design CAD room, mold design CAD room, CNC lathe, milling machine, wire cutting, mold practice workshop, accounting simulation operation room, multimedia language room, studio, audio-visual center, multimedia ladder classroom and other advanced teaching equipment. A training base was established jointly with dozens of large and medium-sized enterprises.

The college has two modern teaching buildings, including two teaching areas, two student apartments, teaching buildings, science and technology experimental buildings, academic exchange centers, administrative office buildings, libraries, specialized teaching apartments, student auditorium and other modern buildings, as well as sports venues and facilities such as 400 meter standard plastic runway, football field, basketball court, badminton court and so on. The campus canteens, shopping malls, savings, telecommunications, postal services, medical institutions, public security police rooms and other service facilities, life is convenient.

The Institute persisted in the employment oriented teaching reform, took the lead in adopting the "order form" training mode, set up the Employment Guidance Center for graduates, set up the counselling for students' psychological quality, interview skills and competition consciousness. The college has established a graduate employment office in Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Shanghai, Hangzhou and Xiamen. It has established long-term and stable talent relations with more than 100 enterprises, including FAW Volkswagen, Guangzhou TOYOTA, HUAWEI group, Qipai company, nine Mu Wang dress, Acer computer and Jiangxi LDK, so as to ensure the employment rate of graduates is over 98%.

Since the founding of the school, more than 20 news media, including the central, provincial and municipal TV stations and party and government newspapers and periodicals at various levels, have made special reports on the characteristics and achievements of the school. In April 27, 2005, the national private vocational education experience exchange meeting was held in our institute. Wu Qidi, Minister of education and vice minister of education, attended the meeting with more than 200 representatives from all provinces, municipalities and districts, and the deputy director of the education department and educational experts. In December 2005, CCTV traveled to China's "great school miracle" album, which was divided into three episodes.
