(CNTAC) recently signed a cooperation agreement with SAI (social responsibility international) in Beijing to promote textile.

The promotion and development of social responsibility in the world.
Taking into account the cooperation needs of the workplace to enhance the implementation standards of sustainable development and the potential synergy of cooperation, the China Textile Industry Association and the US SAI will cooperate to promote the social responsibility standard system as a tool to achieve more effective improvement.
Based on the sustainable development goals approved by both sides, cooperation between CNTAC and SAI will be carried out in five areas.
The first step of cooperation is to re convene a multi stakeholder Advisory Committee meeting (MAC) on the basis of the 2010 joint conference to promote the consensus building of sustainable development strategy for textile and garment industries.
The MAC conference will provide an active dialogue platform for government, local enterprises and multinational corporations, workers, social responsibility auditors and other stakeholders to promote consensus, sustainable development practice and implementation.
Both sides hope that this agreement will also facilitate cooperation with other stakeholders.
Social responsibility international is a multi stakeholder institution with a 14 year history and its social responsibility.

Social responsibility international has established a cooperative relationship with national and local organizations worldwide and has undertaken various types of stakeholder participation, capacity-building and training activities.
Currently, SA8000 users cover more than 60 countries and have held training in more than 50 countries.
