Academicians Talk About The Future Development Of The Textile Industry

    2011/9/27 16:10:00 57

Yao Muchao'S Imitation Of Cotton Resources

On October 21~22, the first "2011 China Textile academic annual conference" will be held in Shanghai. Before the annual meeting, the textile and clothing weekly reporter interviewed academicians of the Chinese Academy of engineering. Yao Mu Jiang Shicheng, Zhou Xiang and Sun Jinliang asked them to talk about the development prospects of the textile industry.

The first "2011 China Textile academic annual conference", with the aim of "bringing together academic wisdom and promoting Textile Innovation", will invite representatives of global textile research experts and scholars and technology enterprises to discuss the development of textile industry. The theme of the annual conference will be "material science and modern textile". The three sub fields of fiber materials, composite materials, technical textiles and modern textile processing technology will be set up respectively. The latest scientific research achievements and high-tech hatching forum will be held, and the academic award presentation ceremony will be held.

Textile materials will become the focus of future attention

The issue of raw materials has increasingly become a major focus of the textile industry. Ban Ki-moon, Secretary General of the United Nations, recently announced that the global population will reach 7 billion in October 31st this year at the "7 billion person action initiative" conference launched by New York headquarters. According to UN forecasts, the global population is likely to continue to boom. By 2050, this figure will reach 9 billion 400 million.

Regarding this, Yao Mu, academician of the Chinese Academy of engineering, said that after the grain issue became the primary concern of the world, the area of the cotton field would be greatly reduced, and the impact on the textile industry would be increased. According to a congressional report, by the year 2050, the global oil and natural gas resources will be exhausted. The global textile industry will face the problem of insufficient raw material resources, coupled with the constraints of labor costs, which will bring great changes to the development of the textile industry in the future. So what is the future direction of the textile industry?

For in Resources The question of the way out for China's textile industry under the external environment of limited and rising labor costs, academician Yao Mu said there should be two directions:

First, we should develop the products with less raw materials and high added value. First of all, industrial textiles. The development of industrial textiles will mainly replace non renewable metal materials, especially steel, followed by clothing and household textiles, and develop towards high-end and high-end.

Two, natural fiber should develop to saline alkali land, barren beach and hillside land instead of competing with grain for new varieties. For example, the upland island cotton found recently in Yunnan can grow on the hillside of 1100 meters, three times a year and three times peach. We should develop new varieties including wool, linen, silk and so on.

Biomass fiber will become an alternative material.

Under the premise of limited natural fiber resources, the chemical fiber as an alternative resource will be greatly developed. But what kind of chemical fiber is the future development direction of the chemical fiber industry? Jiang Shicheng, a Chinese chemical fiber engineering technology expert and a member of the Chinese Academy of engineering, is one of the main pioneers of China's polyester industry. He talked to reporters about his views.

    In the past ten years, China's chemical fiber industry has made rapid progress and now accounts for 2/3 of the world's chemical fiber production. The world has been leading the way in terms of conventional and popular products, but there is still a gap between high quality and high performance fibers. In the future, we should continue to improve the quality of conventional products such as polyester filament and staple fiber to meet the higher needs of the market in terms of functionalization and so on. {page_break}

Speaking of the future development trend of the chemical fiber industry, Jiang Shicheng believes that biomass fiber materials will become an important part of the replacement of chemical raw materials. He said that the project that the Chinese Academy of engineering is doing now is about strategic research on industrialization and engineering of biomass fiber. In addition, recyclable, renewable and degradable textile fibers are also the future direction of development. Some enterprises and universities are already developing, and some are being industrialized. Then there are functional fibers. Du Yuzhou, President of the China Textile Industry Association, proposed that the super Imitation cotton should be made so that the fibers would function close to cotton or even more than cotton, and put forward the goal of "super cotton imitation" to reach 8 million tons during the "12th Five-Year" period. "The polyester industry in China now has a capacity of 25 million tons. If 1/3 can do hyper simulation, Super Imitation cotton This is very significant. " Jiang Shicheng said.

Reducing carbon emissions is a long-term task.

Textile dyeing and finishing is a link between the textile industry chain and environmental protection, energy saving and emission reduction. What are the new trends in the technological progress of dyeing and finishing under the circumstances of limited environmental resources in the future? Zhou Xiang, a famous expert in textile chemistry and dyeing and finishing engineering and academician of the Chinese Academy of engineering, told reporters that reducing carbon emissions is a long-term task. The textile industry must start with reducing carbon emissions to pay attention to environmental protection, energy conservation and emission reduction.

Zhou Xiang pointed out that the increasing temperature on the earth is caused by the increase of carbon dioxide because carbon dioxide has the function of thermal insulation. Curb carbon dioxide emissions has become one of the biggest problems facing mankind. Sea level rise is caused by increased carbon dioxide. It is predicted that if atmospheric temperature rises 4 degrees above the last century, there will be disastrous consequences. The textile industry is one of the largest greenhouse gas emissions industries. The country regards the textile industry as a key industry in energy conservation and emission reduction. Therefore, the important part of the textile industry, the dyeing and finishing industry, must increase the intensity of emission reduction.

There is an international saying of "carbon tariffs". Last year, the head of the State Science and technology department once said that rather than let Americans accept our carbon tariffs, we should not accept them. Therefore, formulating a restraint method is very important for domestic enterprises to reduce emissions. In recent years, the China Textile Industry Association has also strongly advocated corporate social responsibility, and textile enterprises are gradually recognizing the importance of this issue. But compared with developed countries, we still have gaps.

Statistics from the United States show that about 30%~40% of water in production is wasted. Therefore, enterprises should strengthen management so that every employee has the awareness of saving energy.

       Textile industry needs interdisciplinary talents.

Sun Jinliang, academician of the Chinese Academy of engineering, is a well-known expert on composite materials and special textile materials in China. He briefed reporters about the difficulties encountered in the development of the industrial textiles industry. In the industry textile industry, downstream users are vastly different. Many industrial textile enterprises do not understand downstream needs, and downstream enterprises do not know how upstream industry textile enterprises can help them solve problems encountered in production.

He said that industrial use is an academic interdisciplinary subject. Academic exchanges must be carried out regularly to understand the needs of other industries, and other industries need to have channels to reflect their problems to the upper reaches. At the meeting, we should invite some experts and scholars from different disciplines to join in, and professionals from different fields can get together to collide with sparks. Otherwise, there will be some deviations between products and needs.

He also put forward a question of industrialization of scientific research achievements. He pointed out that a group of interdisciplinary people should be "detached" from scientific research to carry out strategic research. At present, the textile industry lacks talents who do basic work, especially in terms of industrial use. They have broad knowledge and strategic vision. " He also pointed out that some foreign engineering companies can popularize the achievements of scientific research institutions, but there are no similar institutions in China doing such things.

For such a grand event held in the year of the opening of the 12th Five-Year "2011 China Textile academic annual conference", experts have indicated that it is of great significance to promote the scientific research and academic exchanges of our textile industry, cultivate and develop strategic emerging industries, and promote the pace of textile technology innovation. At the same time, from participating in the domestic and international experts' lineup, it will also become a gathering of global textile technology elites.
