Kangnai Won The First "National Quality Award" In Chinese Shoe Industry

The 2007 "National Quality Award" was awarded in Beijing yesterday morning. Seven enterprises including Kangnai Group and Weichai Power Co., Ltd. won the highest award in the field of national quality management. Kangnai is also the first Chinese shoe-making enterprise to win the award. The national quality award issued by China Quality Association is the highest award in the field of quality management in China. Like the Baldrige Award of the United States, the European Quality Award and the Deming award of Japan, it is only awarded to outstanding enterprises that have achieved outstanding performance nationwide. Since 2001, China Quality Association has started the national quality award evaluation according to the relevant provisions of the product quality law of the people's Republic of China. As of 2007, a total of 51 model enterprises such as Baosteel and Haier have won awards; Zhengtai and Delixi of Wenzhou won the award in 2004 and 2006 respectively. According to Ma Lin, Secretary General of China Quality Association, the national quality award is reviewed once every three years. This time, 12 enterprises including Chint Electric Appliance Co., Ltd. have been confirmed three years after the award. The national quality award is not only a reward for enterprise product quality, but also a strict assessment and evaluation system for seven major factors, such as enterprise quality system, leadership and development strategy. Chen Bangzhu, President of China Quality Association, said in an exclusive interview with reporters that the national quality award is voluntarily declared and selected by enterprises. The threshold for declaration is very high, and it must be the leading enterprise in the industry. "The selection process is more complicated than the review of listing enterprises. Generally, there are no more than 10 enterprises evaluated in a year.". Chen Shineng, President of China Light Industry Federation, believes that Kangnai, as the first enterprise in China's shoe and leather industry to win the national quality award, means that the management level of Wenzhou shoe industry enterprises has risen to a new level and is in the forefront of the national counterparts. Kangnai, chairman of Kangnai Group, has won the first quality award in China for decades. But achievements always belong to the past, and now is a new starting point. Only when enterprises think of danger and change in times of safety can they realize sound and rapid development in the complex and changeable market.
