According to the General Administration of statistics, Vietnam (2011) October

The price index (CPI) increased by 0.36% over the previous 9 months. It was the smallest month of CPI growth in the year so far, but it still rose 17.05% at the end of the year (2010) and 21.59% higher than the same period last year.
Except for building materials, rents, electricity, water and fuel costs slightly declined 0.03%, post and telecommunications.
Traffic expense
With the decline of 0.17% and 0.13% respectively, the prices of other goods and services rose, including 0.06% rise in catering services, 0.49% in beverages and cigarettes, 0.63% in clothing hats and footwear, 0.30% in cultural and sightseeing, 0.73% in furniture, 0.45% in drugs and health services, 3.20% in education fees, and 0.20% in other goods and services.
In addition, the price of gold in October declined by 4.22% compared with the previous 9 months, but it still rose 43.18% compared with the same period last year. The US dollar price edged up 0.39% over the previous 9 months and was 7.55% higher than that of the same period last year.
