Damir Doma

The boundary between men and women is very vague for me.

Few designers can blend the details of men's and women's clothes together like Damir Doma.

The new gifted scholar from Yugoslavia and Munich attracted a lot of attention in the men's wear world earlier.

Recently, he threw herself into the design of women's wear and made him unique in the new generation because of his strong sense of menswear.

"I started with men's wear because it's a natural thing.

Since the debut of the Paris men's wear show in June 2007, Damir's poetic and religious style has been very clear, giving the elegant robe an extra dignity.

"I want to make clothes that are at a distance from my body, and I want to feel that there is a space between them."

Damir said.

Not long after that, all the famous stars put on his design. By the year September 2010, his first season dress design came into being.

He went to Antwerp Royal College of design and studied at two Dirk Schoenberger and Raf Simons graduates who also graduated from this prestigious school.

It may be an interesting coincidence. He followed the two steps, from men's wear to women's wear design.

"I want men to show their strength while showing their sensitivity, but for women, I want to make their grace strong.

Therefore, in men's clothing, I like to use soft clipping and vertical feeling, compared with the design of women's wear, I prefer strong shoulders and hard tailoring.

Damir explains.

Every season, design starts from a fantasy world, and then he makes an inspirational collection. "Not every season is a style. I am not a designer like that."

He smiled to reveal the dimple on his side. "The inspiration set is to let everyone focus on it and not be influenced by too many distractions."

Gustavo Lins

I look at fashion from the perspective of space.

Gustavo Lins is an architect. He made sculptural forms and conceptual shows in his hometown of Brazil and Barcelona, Spain. It looks like architectural exhibitions and fashion shows.

Although he pointed out that architect Gaudi was his inspiration, most of his works were more modern and concise.

Then he went to John Galliano's studio, which became the inspiration for his clothing series.

One of Lins's latest projects is to work with Herm s to design recyclable scarves, shawls and shirts with silk and leather Shards.

Maurizio Galante
